THIS PROPERTY DESERVES A 5+

First of all the owners, Kathy and Ron, were EXTREMELY accomodating in allowing me to rent their condo at the last minute, literally the day before I arrived.
Upon entering their condo I felt like I was walking into a model home until I noticed all the "homey" touches which immediately made me feel at home. I have stayed in NUMEROUS condos in Kihei/Wailea and none compared to this property. Let me tell you that the online photographs of this property do not do it justice. The building is the farthest back on the property so it is very quiet except for being awakened every morning by a beautiful choir of singing birds. The view of the ocean from the kitchen, dining area, living room, and of course the lanai is beautiful. I chose to sleep on the couch rather than in the bedroom so that I could sleep with all the windows and sliding door open, listening to the waves and feeling the trade winds keeping me cool. I slept so well there! Kathy and Ron have furnished and equipped this condo as tho it were "home". The kitchen has every utensil, pot/pan, sharp knife, small appliances you could possibly want or need to cook a large meal and even bake a cake. And everything is the highest quality!
The condo is immediately across the street from Kam II which is one of the very best beaches on the south west side of Maui. Kathy and Ron have provided everything you need on the beach including nice canvas beach chairs, beach towels, and so on. They also have a washer/dryer in their unit for washing your beach towels, swimsuits, and so on after a day at the beach. It is in a closet which keeps the condo quiet and cool (no heat from the dryer).
The condo is right next door to Fred's Mexican Restaurant - Taco Tuesday is infamous!. Less than a quarter of a mile down the street is the Hawaiian Moon Natural Foods grocery store. Within a short driving distance are Safeway, Times Food, and Foodland, as well as Long's drugstore that will fill your CVS pharmacey prescriptions. I recommend "Happy Hour" for dinner! So much less expensive! My favorite is Sarento's which is about 1.5 miles south towards Wailea. Their "Happy Hour" appetizers are incredible, filling, and all less than $10.
Kathy was available each time I called her. This condo will be my "home base" whenever I visit Maui. I was so comfortable their, felt very safe, and enjoyed their 2 pools on days I didn't go to the beach. Now that I've written such a glowing review it will be rented out when I want to stay there!
