HISTORIC UPSCALE RESORT COMMUNITY: A PERFECT WINTER GETAWAY 4 FRIENDS & FAMILY!

Buck Hill Falls House Rental Photos and Description

House, 3 Bedrooms + Den, 2.5 Baths, (Sleeps 6-8)

You'll love this well maintained 3.5 bedroom Golf Cottage located in an upscale private resort community. Weekly rentals include free golf, tennis, swimming, and so much more! A printable rate sheet is available upon request.

Buck Hill Falls is nestled on 4500 pristine mountainous acres in NE Pennsylvania. The community was founded in 1901 by Philadelphia Quakers and consists of over 300 'cottages' built between 1901 and 2009 that are enjoyed by their owners' either as a weekend and vacation getaway or full-time residence.

Buck Hillers are friendly, sociable, sports enthusiasts, sophisticated, educated and a nature-loving group. The Community owned recreation facilities include a picturesque 27 hole golf course (18 designed by famous architect Donald Ross), 10 hard-tru tennis courts, an outdoor Olympic sized swimming pool, and professional lawn bowling greens. An outstanding summer camp program and youth activities are available for children between the ages of 3 to 15. Hiking trails abound and mountain fed streams offer excellent fly-fishing opportunities. The Buck Hill [water] Falls and forested walking trails around them are not to be missed. Winter activities include ice-skating, cross-country skiing, paddle tennis, and proximity to near-by Pocono Mountain ski areas. Mount Airy Casino is less than 5 miles away!

Buck Hill Falls is a unique haven for both the socially inclined as well as those seeking a quiet private setting to relax. It offers 'a low-key life-style of culture and sophistication within its magnificent natural setting.' For futher information about the communtiy visit buckhillfalls (dot) com.

Over six generations of my family have enjoyed spending our summers, weekends, and winter holidays in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania. My great-great-grandfather first built a home at a competing Quaker resort for his family and guests to enjoy in the early 1900s. It was my parents’ decision to make the move to Buck Hill Falls, first as renters and later as cottage owners, because the summer youth programs at Buck Hill were outstanding and the recreation facilities were top-notch, as they remain today.

Mary purchased this house in 2009

I purchased my Buck Hill Falls golf-cottage as a year-round residence almost 5 years ago but opportunity knocked when a farmhouse down the road became available for purchase. (Renovating buildings is one of my passions!) I moved to my new home two year's ago and am delighted to be able share with others’ the opportunity to enjoy Buck Hill Falls and all that the community has to offer. Who knows, maybe you’ll fall in love and start a new tradition for yourself and family as frequent returning visitors to this hidden-gem?

Wonderful weekend at Buck Hill Falls

We had the good fortune of staying in Mary's Golf Cottage for a weekend in July. We are longtime Buck Hillers, but have been away for several years. The cottage was just as described and was clean and well maintained. Buck Hill has so much to offer that a weekend isn't enough time to do it all, but we managed to cram in lunch at the Fairway Grill, hit both the courts and the course and even some time by the gorgeous pool. Mary was a wonderful hostess and we would recommend her cottage highly. Thanks for a wonderful weekend and we hope to be back again in 2014!

This is our 3rd vrbo and it didn't disappoint.....first in the poconos. Her pictures represent exactly how the house appears. It was clean and comfortable. We were blessed with a little snow upon our arrival so it made the whole area even more magical for the Christmas season. The owner greeted us when we arrived and shared basic information about the house and the area. Since we spend a fair amount of time in the Poconos, we were familiar with most of the local establishments. She made closing up and leaving at the end very simple. Only disappointment was that we could not drive down to see the falls as the road was barricaded....we went hiking in a local park instead. Thanks for a nice mini holiday.

We spent such a lovely weekend here. The home is both spacious and cozy. We loved meals on the back porch and also sitting on the screened in porch in the morning with coffee. The community is so much fun: hiking, fishing, a fantastic pool, the guys played golf, the kids rode bikes. Everyone was incredibly friendly. The owner of this home could not have been more accommodating and pleasant. We can't wait to go back!

Owner's Response: I don't think I ever thanked you for this awesome review! You are the perfect house guests and are always welcome. In fact, I can't wait to have you back in residence for the 2013 Memorial Day Weekend. There are so many community activities planned and I hope you can take advantage of as many as possible: the Twilight Golf Tournament & buffet, Tennis Progressive/Regressive Tournament, Junior Tennis Season kick-off, Conservation Foundation's bird walk and especially the Lawn Bowling Club's 50/50 family event. Best-Mary

Hidden Gem of a Community!

As recorded in guest book-
We had an amazing time in this little hidden gem of a community. Six adults and two children enjoyed Camelback Mountain, Buck Hill Falls, the Pour House and game nights by the fireplace. Not to mention the Giants beat the Cowboys! We hope to come back and enjoy this retreat during the summer.

Thanks for everything.
