Our home has been featured in a recent East Hampton Historical Society Annual House Tour....a great honor bestowed on very very few houses per year. We have also been featured not long ago on the front page of the primary local newspaper's Residential Section...THE EAST HAMPTON STAR. This was the inaugural issue of this section. A great tribute to a very special historical house in the Hamptons.
We are fortunate to be the stewards of such a property. It is a privilege we never take for granted, and enjoy to the utmost on a daily basis.
Robert Strada purchased this estate in 1979
It is quiet, secluded, picturesque, off the beaten track, yet close to the center of the most special village in the hamptons...Amagansett, which is unspoiled, and unique. There is no through traffic on our road. Although we live next to a major celebrity (truly a household name), it is an unpretentious original neighborhood. the nightly sunsets are like a private showcase from our front yard and almost all of the rooms in the house. A stupendous treat to end every day.
There is no other house quite like this one in all of the Hamptons...
the swing hanging from the 120 year old spruce tree in the front yard welcome both young and old. The hammock in the back yard beckon one to relax at day's end under the old maple trees which form a canopy overhead...the leaves are forever rustling creating a calm breeze with the scent of ocean air...the sound of the waves can often be heard through open curtained windows lulling one to a peaceful sleep in the quiet of a late summer's evening. It is a true home to all who spend time here. It is a refuge, a place to entertain or to find one;s creative soul in solitude. The muse always resides in this house. It is a place for renewal, a place to find peace and serenity in style, comfort, and luxury.
