The Lake House is a new, three-bedroom home nestled in a secluded five-acre wooded setting in the Catskills. As you drive through the woods to the house you may spot wild turkeys and rabbits. There is plenty of parking as you pull up to the house. When you first view the Lake House you may be taken in by the long front yard and its park-like setting - it is breathtaking! But the crowning glory is the lake itself, quiet and serene, and we have 200 feet of lakefront! Stroll out onto the dock. Take in the quiet… the peacefulness of it all. Listen to the fish jump and relax - this is what the Lake House is all about! Enjoy kayaking and paddle boating on the lake, swim from the dock, or indulge in excellent fresh water fishing. Light a big fire in the lakeside fire pit and toast marshmallows under the amazing display of stars. Or just sunbathe and read a book on the huge deck with a view of the lake.

Min. Age for Renters: 30 yrs or older (except children accompanied by parents).

House Description: The first floor has a modern kitchen that is fully equipped for your culinary pleasures. It has a counter that seats four comfortably and opens into a dining area with a large wooden table that seats eight adults. The living room couch opens up to a queen size futon for additional sleeping space. Glass doors in the living area provide both a view and access to the deck overlooking the yard and Titus Lake. The spacious deck is equipped with a gas grill and beautiful glass table with umbrella to enjoy dining alfresco. Also on the first floor is a full bath across from one of the three bedrooms. This bedroom has a full size bed.

On the second floor is another full bath, complete with a luxurious walk–in tiled shower. There are two more bedrooms on the second floor. The kids’ room has a set of bunk beds and space for a porta crib. There is a TV/DVD player in this room. The third bedroom is large with a queen size bed and a futon sofa for additional seating and bedding. This bedroom features a spectacular view of the rolling lawn and lake all year long!

The Lake House is the place to get away from it all. Enjoy kayaking and paddle boating on the lake, swim from the dock, or indulge in excellent fresh water fishing. Light a big fire in the lakeside fire pit and toast marshmallows under the amazing display of stars. Or just sunbath and read a book on the huge deck with a view of the lake. Play Frisbee, or relax with some good ol’ fashioned board games. Hike in the woods, or run or bike on beautiful curving mountain roads.

There is no smoking allowed in the Lake House.

Pets will be considered, at owner's discretion.

Notes: There is a radio/iPod Dock for your listening pleasure. Bring your iPod and play all of your favorite tunes. The house is has a small video library as well as cards and a selection of classic board games. Cell service is pretty good, better in some areas than others. However we have land lines (phone service) which includes long distance in the continental United States. We have a supply of life preservers for both adults and children on the premises. There is a large picnic table down by the lake next to the fire pit as well as a glass patio table with umbrella that seats six comfortably on the deck. Pets will be considered at owner's discretion.

Peaceful Getaway

Our family had a very relaxing time at the lake house. The house was very clean, and just as it appeared in the pictures. We especially enjoyed the very large deck with the view of the trees and the lake. If you're looking for a quiet, relaxing time with friends or family, this place is great!

We did venture out a few times - we took an adventurous drive up a single lane dirt road to the top of Mt. Utsayantha in nearby Stamford for some great views of the surrounding area. We took a nice walk along the Catskill Scenic Trail, which also goes through Stamford. We spent a great day hiking at North/South Lake State Park which is a little more than an hour away. (There may be closer hiking trails, but I was familiar with the great trails at North Lake, so we went there.) We also had a nice visit to the Shrine of the North American Martyrs, which is also a little more than an hour away. It's very pleasant to drive along the picturesque country roads in the area. Although we didn't go to Cooperstown, I believe that's just a little over an hour away.

It was great having the kayak and paddle boat too. The lake is very peaceful and quiet. There are not very many other houses on the lake, and most are set back from the lake. We never had to contend with loud, noisy people. This house is also great for star gazing!

The house is well stocked with family games and movies for relaxing and fun family evenings. Overall, this house is great for relaxing quality time with your family or close friends.

Wonderful trip!

A great trip! The lake was beautiful in the morning, fishing was great and we enjoyed a ride or two on the peddle boat with the kids. The house was wonderful, clean and fully stocked for all types of cooking. We would definitely visit again!

Our week at the Lake House was great, what a wonderful time had by all! The house was clean and well taken care of, the kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed. Would definately recommend!
