Boothbay Harbor Condo Rental Photos and Description

Townhouse Condominium, 2 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 4).

Townhouse condominium in a fantastic location, a beautiful relaxing and spacious home for you to enjoy.

It is actually a large 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom, 2,500 sq. ft.+ home, but one suite is unavailable to renters.

Waterside location, with an easy stroll to the town wharfs, restaurants and stores.

Local amenities galore to make this your special vacation place.

Thank you for your interest in our home.

Although we live in England, our connection with Boothbay Harbor goes back a long way, more than thirty years, in fact!

We worked here as students, married and brought our three children back for frequent vacations over the years.

Spencer and Sam our older boys began their working lives in and around the busboys, waiters, barmen and their happiest employment as Camp Counsellors at YMCA Camp Knickerbocker!

Our youngest son Joshua has a learning disability/autism and he spent eight truly wonderful summers with his brothers at Camp.

We were fortunate enough to finally buy our own place in 2004 and regard Boothbay as our summer 'home'.

All the stuff there is ours... it is immaculate. It was completely remodelled a few years kitchen, new appliances, new bathrooms and mostly new furniture. The linens and towels are upgraded every two years, with the exception of the bed pillows which I buy new every year.

It's not your typical rental...............we close up fully for at least seven months a year and rentals are only available appropximately eight weeks per year. children, no animals and no smokers.

You will enjoy the views from the deck and balcony..we have herons, osprey, ducks, shags and a multitude of wildlife visiting the water.

The small marina is a two minute stroll through the gardens. You can swim from the little rock beach (if you're very brave! We do all the time but then we're used to cool water!)

Town is a five minute walk away, with great restaurants and lovely diners.

If art is your passion, the town has some superb galleries to visit.

Take a sunset cruise around the islands, go whalewatching or take a sail on one of the antique windjammers!

Go fishing for striper, bluefish or mackerel.......even shark if you're very adventurous.

Golf at the local Country Club.

And of course.........

Eat Maine lobster inexpensively at the Lobstermans' Co- Op.

Why cook, when you can have takeaway seafood, burgers and fries at the 'soon to be world famous' Dunton's Doghouse............tell Gary we sent you!!'s one minute walk away.

The nationally recognized Botanical Gardens are a must ........

Walk along the water's edge at Ocean Point and see (and hear) five lighthouses at once!

But most of all, do relax and enjoy our home.

Maurice and Valerie Healy

About Maurice Healy

Welcome to our home. We are Valerie and Maurice Healy.

We grew up in Ireland, and now live in England........when we can't spend time in Boothbay!

We first discovered Boothbay Harbor in the 1970s when we were students, working many happy summers in the town. We just could not get enough!

As our family of three boys got older, we just had to re-establish our Boothbay connection, first renting, then buying this lovely property. Our home in Boothbay has been such an asset to our family life; our young adult sons truly look at Boothbay as their second home, not just a vacation place.

Maurice Healy purchased this condo in 2003

Why Maurice Healy chose Boothbay Harbor

It is so tranquil, yet convenient. Is at the water's edge, a short stroll to town shops and restaurants,

We did a full refurbishment just a few years ago including a very smart new kitchen and all new bathrooms and appliances.

It has a clean uncluttered feel to it, over 2,000 sq. feet for your use.......

We just love it!

What makes this condo unique

More on this later, I promise. Mostly the peace and quiet of Maine.

Guestbook comments from the owner

"We really enjoyed Boothaby Harbor. The stay at the condo was excellant. We say a lot of beautiful scenery and went whale watching and were lucky enough to see many whales. Food was wonderful. We got our fill of lobster."

Lovely condo

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed in this lovely condo in October of this year and we were very comfortable and able to relax after our days exploring the area. It felt like home! The condo has more than the usual amenities usually found in a vacation rental. There were extra towels, paper products, kitchen supplies, and laundry items. I'm very fussy about the cleanliness of places we stay, and this home was spotlessly clean. The view from the deck was gorgeous with the trees showing their beautiful fall colors. It was very quiet in the condo. Many thanks to the Healy's for their quick response to questions and for making their home available for us to use while visiting Maine. We also appreciated the welcome note and bottle of wine. We loved the condo and hope to visit again in the future.

the best vacation rental ever!

The four of us (2 couples) had one of those memorable lifetime experiences at this wonderful condo! The Healey's even called from England soon after our arrival to ensure things were going well! The home is very spacious, has a wonderful relaxing view, great deck for meals and drinks, safe easy parking, immaculate, well furnished for cooking/eating & beverages. It is VERY quiet, relaxing and an easy walk to downtown Booth Bay Harbor! I cannot say enough wonderful things about this home. The whole condo complex is well maintained and the grounds keeper was friendly and helpful. I lost an earring there & thanks to the owners help, both the house cleaner, and the next tenants helped with the search. Parking is reserved for the unit, and right by the door. We will definitely be back!!

A Wonderful Week in July

  • 5 of 5

We spent a wonderful week in July in this spacious, well-equipped condo. Since this was our first visit, we weren't sure what to expect; we ended up not unpacking many of the things we brought along. This place has everything you need.

This contemporary condo is comfortable and beautifully decorated. You couldn't ask for a better location in Boothbay Harbor. The neighborhood is quiet, the water view is peaceful, and restaurants and bars are only a short walk away.

Luxurious Condo in Maine

  • 5 of 5

This is the second time we have stayed in Val & Maurice's home and cannot wait to get back . The Condo is so comfortable and has everything anyone could wish for . There are a number of local short walks sponsored by Boothbay Harbor Land Trust which are well worth taking especially the one on Barter Island . Boothbay is charming with good food , drink & plenty to do .

An excellent base for a holiday.

  • 5 of 5

We had an excellent mid- May week in Maurice's and Valerie's Condo overlooking Mill Cove, Boothbay Harbor. The weather was exceptionally kind to us with warm sunshine most days and torrential rain only on the day we left. The Condo is really smart and well-equipped with the ever-changing tidal views of the Cove providing much interest. The family of ospreys visited the cove regularly and the occasional working boat gave a flavour of what was happening in the rest of the harbour. The small town is just a short walk away and no doubt very busy in the Summer months with many tourist shops. A well-stocked large supermarket at the other end of town provided all our needs when we ate in and there was an excellent selection of dining places; we used Dunton's Doghouse for snacks and The Tugboat Inn and Thistle Inn for full meals and enjoyed them all. We also ate whole lobster at the Muscongus Bay Lobster Company a few miles away. The various "Preserves" in the area gave us ample walking opportunities and the range of birds we saw in Lobster Cove Preserve surprised us. Longer hikes are available and we went further along the coast to Camden Hills State Park for one half-day hike. Contact with Maurice and Valerie was easy by email, mail and telephone and we had sufficient on-site contacts should we have needed them but there were no problems during our stay. The property description was accurate, the condo clean and well-maintained and we would have no hesitation in recommending it to a friend, relative or complete stranger.

Best holiday home ever!

  • 5 of 5

Maurice and Valerie's beautiful property is modern and stylish with well appointed interiors, and all the creature comforts.

I loved drinking hazelnut coffee on the sunny deck, enjoying the superb views across the bay and planning a day of sightseeing. The layout of the property is light, bright and spacious. Every detail has been considered which made our stay so enjoyable. The centre of town is a wonderful short stroll away, make sure you take in the water views, and beautiful flowering rock gardens along the way. After a day of exploring the local sights, coming back to the property is like returning to an oasis of calm.

The bathrooms are spotless, modern and warm with heated towel racks. The bedrooms are comfortable, clean and spacious with all the amenities. The living area has two large comfortable sofas to sink in to with a good book or watch a movie on the flat screen TV. The kitchen is easy to use with everything we needed when we cooked meals. We loved wandering in to Boothbay for shopping, art galleries and our meals, our favourites for breakfast: Blue Boon, Ebb Tide and for lunch/dinner: Chowder House, The Bistro, McSeagulls. There is so much to see and do in the area, highlights including visiting a live lobster yard for fresh lobster rolls, taking a boat trip to explore the vast waterways and inlets spotting seals and lobster fishermen along the way, swimming in lake Knickerboker, finding some absolute bargains at the picturesque Freeport shopping outlet.

We cannot recommend this property enough, This was my first stay in New England, having travelled all around the world I can honestly say Boothbay is one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited.
