We like to travel, and split our time between two opposite parts of the world. We however LOVE the Southern California life style and are happy to make our home in the heart of Venice Beach. Among all the fun and exciting things to do here, our absolute favorite is taking the dogs for a stroll around the canals or near the ocean, enjoying a delightful brunch, meeting creative people, and simply seeing what the rest of the day brings us to. We hope to share this very unique experience with you!

Dear Owners of the Common House-
We would like to thank you sincerely for your hospitality and we appreciate you letting us use your beautiful house. Again thank you and we will be sure to type a great review about you. Sincerely, Fee Weekend Crew
We loved our stay in the Common House... through the quality of the property and surrounding area - a 5 start experience. Overall an outstanding place to stay in Venice. We stayed for two months with our dog and the house was able to easily adapt. We quickly felt at home and were sad to go back home. I would recommend the property to anyone and would definitely book again if I need to stay in the same area
We had a great stay in the house. A short walk to wholefoods and some nice cafes and a few minutes by car to the beach. Yuwen, the owner, was very helpful when we asked for a few small things. Very clean and nice decorated. Only thing is that it´s only 2-3 miles from santa monica airport, so you can hear small planes starting during daytime, mainly between 11am-4pm. In the morning or evening that was no problem.
Beside that it´s really a great location and we would come back!
We recently stayed in the house for a girls getaway. We couldn't ask for better location and better home than this! Close to Abbot Kinney (nice boutiques and restaurants), Santa Monica, and Venice Beach. Nearby Rose Ave has nice restraunts and coffee shop as well! The house is very stylishly decorated, very spacious and clean. We will definitely stay again! Highly recommended!!!
We arrived with relaxed living area and clean rooms. The entire house is open, airy and so comfortable. The location is very convenient - walking to the wholefoods, restaurants, local shops and a nice stroll to the beach. Will definitely come back again!
Great little beach style modern home with a super location!!!
We are an English family of 2 adults and 3 kids aged 9, 7 and 4. We stayed here between 30 mar and 4 apr during a 2 week spring break in California. The house is just as it appears in the photos, if not better. The design is stylish, minimalistic but comfortable p so we didn't worry about the kids breaking anything whilst we were there. a lot of room both inside and out in the yard for them to burn energy! The living area, diner and kitchen are open plan which previously I didn't like the idea of but now i love and am thinking about the same layout for our own kitchen which is due for a remodel! The sofa is leather, battered and deep and so so comfortable so we would all sink into it after a long day sightseeing. Love the art print arrangement and the battered leather suitcase 'coffee table' in the living area and once you figure out how to use the home entertainment centre, its very cosy to settle down in front of the tv with the lights turned down low and browse through the various film or series selections. plenty of kids channels too to keep the little ones quiet whilst you cook dinner! The dining table extends to seat 8 if needed and theres a handy plug socket area under the table which is sunk into the floor. though theres no oven, theres a 4/5 ring work top burner, whistling kettle, a broiler/toaster, coffee maker, microwave and dishwasher with plenty of kitchen essentials to get you started. But after you arrive, pop down to the AMAZING whole foods market at the end of the road to shop for your everyday items - make sure you set aside a few hours for this as the store is huge and impressive with a myriad of choices compared to what we Brits are used to...beware though, you pay a premium for the choices and the fact its mostly organic products so its a good idea to also check out the 99c store literally next door, which stocks a lot of what you'd need for a short stay. The kitchen area of the property leads to patio doors which open out into the rear yard. Great space, sunny for most of the day but with plenty of shaded spots and seating areas, also great outdoor utility area with washer, drier and laundry detergent and coals and logs for the firepit which we toasted franks and marshmallows over, much to our kids delight! There are 2 bathrooms, one with a high spec shower and ultra wide double basin, one with a shower over small bath. Large comfy bedrooms. Wished we could take this place with us for rest of our Cali stay!
