About The Owner
I moved here from Sarasota Florida around 11 years ago. I designed my home to optimize living with nature, which is the reason I was so attracted to this property. I knew that I wanted to share this special place with others, which is why the house was designed sort of like a compound, with separate destination points and privacy in mind. I love animals and plants, all things of beauty. The picture of myself here is with a howler monkey that I raised from the time of her mothers death, she was only about 2 weeks old when she was brought to me. She stayed with almost 5 years and I slowly was able to introduce her to the jungle and other monkeys. She now lives free and has her own baby! This was one of the grandest experiences I have had here.
Why The Owner chose Uvita
This area has a very healing energy about it and the beauty is unsurpassed. The location feels like you are far away from it all, yet I have easy access to all my needs, like hospital, shopping, great restaurants, tours, beaches and fun things to do.
What makes this house unique
Being able to witness the wildlife and beauty of nature all around me. Incredible breezes and cooling rains in the evening. Waking to the sounds of the waves breaking and howler monkeys is just paradise to me. Watching the sun shine on the water drops left by the nights rain, making it look like diamonds have fallen on the jungle at night. No distractions other than the beauty of the jungle and ocean.
