The (mostly) mild climate makes it possible to visit the whole year round, although you should not forget your umbrella during the winter months and at night it is recommended to bring some warm winter things. Between December and April, the flora and fauna of Sicily undergoes a sort of spring cleaning and decorates itself with blossoms on trees, hedges, bushes, meadows and fields. Later on in the year the sun and the clean blue sea (water temperature of 20-30 degrees between June and the end of October) and smooth, sandy beaches make for great swimming.
