Clean and comfortable, this fresh and updated condo can accommodates up to three adults (or two adults and two small children) with a king-sized bed and pullout full-size sofabed.
Featuring a private balcony facing Treasure Island's magnificent seashore, this 3rd floor studio efficiency has recently been painted and updated with many extras.

Along with its beachfront pool, Island Inn Resort features two boat docks/fishing piers, free parking, a poolside Tiki Bar, patio area, outdoor showers, BBQ grills and beach volleyball courts. The lobby offers an ATM, complimentary coffee and a computer station. A coin laundry facility is located on the resort’s 2nd floor. Nearby you’ll find everything you need: Publix grocery, restaurants (including the renowned Caddy’s, a 3 minute walk down the beach), unique shops and the Suncoast Trolley to take you up and down the Islands.
With direct access to the Gulf and the Inter Coastal waters, Treasure Island is a hidden gem of the Tampa Bay Area. This is fun, flip-flop, ‘funky’ Florida living at its best! But for those in the mood to explore, St. Petersburg, just over the causeway, offers something for every age and interest – indeed, it made the NY Times top places to visit in 2014! Slightly further is the thriving city of Tampa, home of Busch Gardens, Lowry Park Zoo, Florida Aquarium, Tampa international airport. Beyond that, Orlando (Disneyworld, Universal Studio) is just a 90-minute drive away.
Perfect for a short vacation or a longer getaway – whether a family trip, romantic escape, chillin’ with friends or some quiet time alone – we believe your stay at The Shore Thing will be all that you hope for (and more!)
Nice little studio condo, very clean, comfy bed, balcony with the beach and water right there. Great location as well! Only downside which kept me from giving an excellent rating is construction in parking lot. Hard to find parking unless you go to a lot across the street, but this was disclosed to us in advance. We would definitely stay here again!
This was the perfect getaway area for me and my husband on our 10th anniversary. The beach was beautiful to wake up to. Walking distance to several restaurants and shops. Close drive to The Pier and John's Pass. The room was comfortable, clean and welcoming.
The condo itself was a perfect location for quick access to the beach! Everything was decorated nicely and the owners went over and above with sharing their personal belongings. I would recommend putting down a rug of some sort because no matter how hard we tried to wash the sand off our feet, we couldn't keep sand out of the bed. The staff at the condo was very helpful and friendly. The worst part of our visit was the construction. Had I been told about it, I would not have chosen this condo. It was noisy all the time, you couldn't sleep in. When we were on the beach, we moved our chairs far away from the noise of jack hammers and pounding of hammers to relax. You could not relax on balcony or anywhere close to condo because of the noise.
I was thoroughly pleased when I arrived at "The Shore Thing" at The Island Inn. The room has that perfect "beach feel" with the colors and decor. The bed is super comfy and the beach/oceanview from the balcony is soooo breathtaking. Did not rent a car this time, so took the "tips only" beach transport service to and from the grocery store. Its a great deal! I loved being able to make my own coffee in the morning, sit on the balcony and take in the views. Got to see dolphins!! The beach chairs provided by the owners are another added touch I appreciated. Went "shelling" a few times during low tide and found a few intact sand dollars and other pretty shells. I am very happy I chose this condo and will definitely be back!
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at "The Shore Thing", at the Island Inn. The owners have decorated the place so tastefully, and added little touches that made our stay super comfortable. We used the Britta water pitcher for ice cold water when we came in from the beach (more about that later), brewed our own coffee, cooked dinner using the stove top and the toaster oven, and watched a blue-ray dvd movie one rainy day on the flat screen.
The view of the gulf and the beach from the balcony can't be beat; we saw dolphins, pelicans, sunsets and kite boarders out on the big expanse of water. But it was more fun for us to get in the warm ocean ourselves. I even rented a paddleboard and tried that one glassy day. And we found dozens of beautiful shells while walking along the beach in the morning.
There's a Publix grocery store nearby where we bought most of our food, but we sampled some of the local eating places happily. All in all, we had a great vacation at The Shore Thing, and we are definitely going back next year. Check it out!
We have been to a lot of beaches and stayed in a lot of condos and resorts so when I say this is the best for the rental price that's saying a lot! The unit is clean, well decorated, has wonderful view from the balcony with awesome sunsets, and is in a very convenient location. There is a Publix grocery store and Walgreens a short drive down the road. We walked down the beach several times to Caddy's for food and drinks, sometimes with a live band. John's Pass is close for shops and dining. It's a short trip to visit Tarpon Springs for best Greek food ever. Stop by Clearwater Beach for dinner but you'll want to escape the traffic and return to The Shore Thing for a more peaceful end to your day.The best detail was the screen door and ceiling fan. We turned off the AC most nights and fell asleep listening to the ocean waves.
The owner has thought of everything you could need including rare items such as laundry detergent for the second floor laundry, beach chairs, umbrella, boogie boards, beach towels, dvds, books, magazines, games. The nightstands on each side of the bed had alarm clocks and each side of the bed had a power strip for charging our phones.
The resort is on a beautiful stretch of beach and we collected tons of large shells. And yes there are dolphins (no charge) and several species of birds.
The only complaint we have is the pool. It was not heated as advertised and that was an important detail for us. The water was freezing, probably due to the rain before we arrived. This is a matter The Island Inn is responsible for and not the owner of this particular room. The tiki bar was always open and there are lounge chairs, tables with chairs, bbq grills, volleyball nets. There is construction taking place and parking is limited at condo so we parked in the lot across the street most of the time which was a slight inconvenience but temporary I imagine during the construction. There are docks across the street for fishing. Bicycle rentals were available as well as fishing poles at a local surf shop if you are interested in those activities.
All in all it was a great room for a great price and we are already planning on a return visit. Thanks for one of the best vacations ever!
