This property is exactly as it is pictured, a beautiful Parisienne apartment with old century charm and modern conveniences. It is roomy and comfortable with plenty of towels, blankets and all the necessities. My husband and I stayed in the apartment for one week and thoroughly enjoyed everything about it. The location is in an upscale neighborhood which is nice to return to after a day of touring. There are many interesting streets to discover with little restaurants and shops nearby. The Eiffel Tower as pictured is actually closer in reality and is glorious to view out the window at night when it sparkles. The River Siene is across the street and has a fascinating nightlife to discover under the walkway. The Bateau Parisienne will take you on a boat ride during the day or a dinner cruise at night (very lovely and romantic) and is just a walk away across the bridge. The Eiffel Tower is within easy walking distance where you can sit in the park and eat a lunch, or catch the hop on hop off buses there to tour the major monuments and attractions of the city. Also, just around the block is the metro line to take you anywhere you want to go. Phillipe, the owner, is a most gracious host who was easy to talk to and always available. I would recommend this apartment to anyone.
This was a wonderful apartment, very spacious, clean and bright. The Eiffel Tower sparkles in the window every night - what could be better? We loved it! It is an older building but there is a tiny lift so you don't have to walk up unless you want to. It was great having two bathrooms even though there were only two of us there, plenty of closet space and good reading light. We never turned on the TV so can't say what the channel choices were. The kitchen, though small, had everything we needed to cook a little breakfast. The location is perfect, close to restaurants (the ones closest to us were closed for the August exodus from the city, but there were others that were open and nice), metro, Seine & Eiffel Tower. We walked most everywhere but did take the metro to Latin Quarter and some areas further out. Our host was responsive and it was easy to book.
We stayed for a week at this fabulous apartment with a wonderful view of the Eiffel Tower. It was my birthday and the tower glittered for me every night from the window! Fabulous location, so close to everything. It was August and the two local restaurants were closed, so can't comment about those, but it would have been nice to have them open. the apartment itself was very spacious and comfortable. there were only 2 of us, but it was nice to be able to spread out, and since we were there for a week, the washer/dryer was so nice to have. The weather was unseasonably cool, so it was wonderful to open the windows at night - we did the interior windows because it was more quiet. We could have our coffee or tea in the morning, even cooked breakfast a couple of times. the building is very old and the apartment is beautiful, with original wood floors, but as such, one should be mindful to the neighbors as the sound carries, but oh so magical. it had been about 20 years since I had been to Paris and I didn't remember it being so wonderful. I would recommend highly
both the apartment and the city!
Excellent property! Exactly as photographed. Location could not be better, in our opinion. The owner was on site as we arrived to give information, assistance, and needed instructions. Communication ahead of stay was great. We have already recommended the property to friends and family. This is a lovely property, and we urge you to live gently and respectfully in it while there. With the Paris Pass we enjoyed activities like the one hour guided tour of the Seine, which we likely would not have purchased separately. And, the Big Bus for 24 hours of hop on, hop off. There are many restaurants in the area...we had French the first night on Marceau (duck confit - Yum!), mid-way to the Champs Elyse, sushi the second night also on Marceau, and Lebanese next to the apartment on New York another night. While the Paris Pass says allocate a couple of hours to see the vast collection of the Louvre, one could not possibly do so in less than 2 days or more. But, we allocated most of an afternoon, and felt like we got a "feel" of the museum. We were able to walk to the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre, also the Champs Elyse. Paris is a walkable, people-friendly city. This property is a wonderful place from which to truly enjoy your Paris experience.
My mom and I stayed here for 8 nights and had a wonderful experience! The apartment was exactly as described, on a quiet and private street. The beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of hot water for us to shower at the same time. The apartment was extremely close to transportation (metro, RER, several bus lines and taxi stand). It was a short walk to the Eiffel Tower and we could even see the Seine and the Eiffel Tower from the living room window.
While there weren’t a lot of stores in the immediate area, there were many great restaurants in the area. There was also a farmers market on Avenue du President Wilson on Saturday morning. If you walk across the Pont de l’Alma and continue down to Rue Saint Dominique there was a Carrefour grocery, bakery, chocolatier and many restaurants.
Philippe was very welcoming and extremely helpful in getting us rail information because during our visit the RER and SNCF were having a strike/slow down. He was also available in case we had any questions during our stay.
Overall a very memorable stay in Paris! Would definitely stay here again and will recommend to family and friends.
