This cozy house has a master bedroom with a queen size bed, a second large bedroom with 2 full size beds, two bathrooms, a washer and dryer, eat-in kitchen, dining room, living room with gas fireplace, air conditioning and a fully equipped kitchen. The master bedroom opens to a spacious deck on the back of the house with western exposure. Enjoy your morning coffee on the front porch with eastern exposure. The house is on a large, private, country lot with big trees and lots of privacy. A short drive or bicycle ride to the Village of Rhinebeck makes this location convenient to all Rhinebeck has to offer. The house is two miles from the center of Rhinebeck, three miles from the Dutchess County Fairgrounds, seven miles from The Omega Institute, and nine miles from Bard College.
My wife, toddler and I stayed for a few nights and enjoyed every peaceful moment in this cozy home away from home over Christmas! Trish decorated for us and the place was immaculate. Can't wait to return.
What an amazing place! You can tell they have done a lot to make the space modern along with having a wonderfully warm and homey feel. We felt super set up and had all we could have ever needed! Thank you Trish! You are a dear :o)
We couldn't have picked a better place to stay. Since there's four of us women crowding into a motel room was something we were not looking forward to doing again for four days! The house was very charming and so convenient to the fairgrounds. Looking forward to returning again next year!
This charming two bedroom home is in an ideal location to downtown Rhinebeck. It is located in a quiet "woodsy" neighborhood and has all of the comforts of home. We especially enjoyed the gas fireplace and the ability to cook wonderful breakfasts and lunches and then enjoy French cuisine and dinner at The Beekman Arms Inn downtown. Everything in the kitchen and bathrooms was clean and in good working order. My husband, sister, and brother-in-law had a much needed rest and plan to return next year.
The house offered plenty of space and provided everything that we needed. This place was clean, comfortable and best of all in a perfect location. We came down to work at the Dutchess county fair and it was literally a 5 minute drive. What a stress relief to not have to worry about our accommodations. We will definitely stay here again and would highly recommend others consider it. The property owner was incredibly helpful and were available if any issues might have occurred, there were none. Thanks for an incredible experience!!!
I can't say enough about this wonderful house and the people would own it. The property is perfectly situated down a beautiful quiet lane but is still very close to center of town, restaurants and shops. The house felt very homey and was equipped with everything you could think of (i.e. Kerig coffee machine, linens, towels, pots/pans, kitchen utensils, wireless internet and much more). I can't think of anything that I wish was there that wasn't already provided. They even stocked the refigerator with a carton of milk before I arrived. There is a remote start fireplace that I used almost every day. The house is bright with windows everywhere to give you great views outside. The bedrooms are large with ample closet space, giving you lots of room, even if there are multiple house guests. There are two full large bathrooms, with one that is equipped with safety rails. The property is not far from the Amtrak station (about 5 miles) or the Metro North Station in Poughkeepsie where you can easily get on a train and be in NYC in less than 2 hours. It is also very close to many historical landmarks like FDR's house and the Vanderbilt Mansion. I stayed at the property for 8 weeks and could not have felt more at home. I would strongly recommend this house to anyone! The owners were more than accomodating and were readily available if you have any needs or concerns.
Rhinebeck is in the heart of the scenic Hudson Valley, home to many historic mansions and grand estates open to the public. The music and theatre at Bard College, home of the American Symphony Orchestra, is world class. Upstate Films in downtown Rhinebeck is a wonderful arts cinema.
