The Anderson Family has owned Oak Harbor since it began in 1970! Jack and Nell Anderson bought the unique lakefront property in the late 1960's and soon began building their dream. Their son Gregg took over in the 1990's and runs daily operations of this 125 site RV park with an additional 73 mobile home sites, boat rentals, and 15 Lakefront Cabin Rentals as well! We have 4 generations of Anderson's living on the property and we take great pride in our family owned and operated business!
The picture shows Nell (middle) with her son Gregg (left), his son Miles (right), and Miles' son Finn standing at the Oak Harbor registration office.
Gregg Anderson purchased this cabin in 2013
When the park was just being built, the Anderson's sold a few lakefront lots in a location separate from the rest of the park to help finance the building of the park. On one of these lots, a local couple built this beautiful and unique A-frame home as a weekend getaway. It was later sold to another couple who lived in it for many years. When this couple decided to sell, the Anderson's took the opportunity to buy back the property, renovate the A-Frame, and put it on the rental market!
This unique home has alot of neat touches from the metal spiral staircase to the pecky cypress on the outbuilding, to the overall shape of the house and the gorgeous lakeviews from the living room. Come experience what we love about this Old Florida retreat and find what makes it special and unique to you!
Awesome place to stay! We had everything we needed. The place was very clean and well maintained. Beautiful view. It was very quiet which is just what we were looking for. The owner was very nice and helpful. We rented a pontoon boat and toured the lake, beautiful. We had morning coffee on the deck and watched a fisherman catch a big mouth bass right in front of us. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a quiet place to relax with a beautiful view. We will stay here again.
