I own two oceanview condos in Terrasol and a 3 bedroom oceanview home in Roatan, Honduras.
Chuck Fuhr purchased this condo in 2011
Private exclusive condo community on one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Walking distance to hundreds of resturants and to shopping.
Two great pools overlooking ocean one with a restaurant. Deck overlooking the pool and ocean.
We recently spent a week at Terrasol. We thoroughly enjoyed the location and unit. The location is great if you don't have a car. It is an easy walk to the marina areas which is filled with great places to eat. We decided not to cook for ourselves this trip so didn't need a lot of groceries but were able to get breakfast and lunch type food at the store in the Playa Granda (next door), at the OXXO at the bottom of the hill and from the California Ranch Market (natural food store) across the road from the Wyndham hotel. The unit has a great view of the ocean from the balcony and is a short walk to the heated pool. The Terreasol staff was very friendly and helpful. The hot water in the unit was not working the day we arrived. The staff responded as soon as we called and had a new part installed as soon as possible the next day. We had no issues with the water after that. The unit was well stocked with paper products, dish soap, laundry soap and kitchen basics like coffee filters and plastic bags. The WIFI in the unit worked great and was very fast. The pool WIFI was less reliable, slow at times and needed to be reset several times while we were there. The complex and surrounding area are very safe. There are no vendors on the beach and it felt safe to walk the beach any time of the day. The complex faces directly south so you see the sun from sunrise to sunset (both are great to watch from the Terrasol beach chairs). The pool is not too crowded and everyone we met were friendly. I particularly thought the owners that were there were very friendly even to those us of just renting for the week. Mario and his crew at the pool bar are great. They knew our names and unit numbers by day 2. It is a great place for both breakfast, lunch and of course afternoon cocktails! Terrasol is a very low key place so if you are looking for a party scene, this is not the place (although the party boats were parked of the shore a few different nights and the music played until 4:00am!)
We didn't have a bad meal at any restaurant we tried. If you want an upscale dinner close by, try La Roca next door at the Grand Solmar. They have special menus several nights of the week so check before you go. It is a short walk on the beach but much longer if you take the road. Other place we enjoyed in the marina area were La Dolce (Italian just outside the marina); Captian Tony's (pizza in marina); Dos Mares (seafood at the marina at the shopping mall end).
A wonderful condo! My family of four stayed from the Sunday before Christmas until the Sunday after Christmas. We have a girl and a boy, 23 and 19. Pros: The view from the balcony was gorgeous! It faces the ocean and what we referred to as the “cold pool.” The place was spacious and well appointed. It had all the kitchen items we needed, and bedding, towels, and pillows. It also had paper towels, toilet paper, and tissues. The photos provided with the listing accurately reflected the appearance. We were very pleased with the free wi-fi access which allowed us to text without using cell service and use iPads/laptops. The sun had the main deck warm early in the morning and very hot in the afternoon. At night we listened to the waves crashing on the shore and then rolling back out. I loved seeing the stars in the night sky from my bed. It was a short walk to the heated pool and palapa. We ate many breakfasts and lunches in the palapa. It is open from 8-6. There are not a lot of menu choices but so worth it because the prices are very affordable, the service was excellent, and the food was fresh and delicious. This resort is very peaceful and relaxing. The beach was endless sand and practically deserted. When we were laying out or walking on it, it felt private. We saw a whale or two, at a distance off shore every day. Chuck, the owner, was very easy to deal with. He also quickly responded the times I emailed him with questions before and during our stay.
The cons: The beds were not comfortable. The master bed had squeaky springs any time you moved. Our backs hurt every morning. The bed in the 2nd bedroom was listed as a king but was a queen. This did not make my adult children happy to share. The floor in the entire condo is tile and was dirty. We didn’t want to pay the cleaning fee to have it cleaned so I wore slippers and the others had dirty feet. The 2nd bedroom has the sun come shining in very bright and early. We never saw a tennis court (not that we wanted to play tennis) and the workout room is in terrible shape.
More: The condo is a short walk to the marina and town. We walked there once or twice every day. Solomon’s was a rip off. They charged us $14 US for Cadillac margaritas! The band is always great at the Cabo Wabo but beware of drink prices. Our favorite restaurants are: Invita Bistro, Healthy, Los Tres Gallos, and Maro’s Shrimp House. One night we hired a water taxi at sunset to take us to the arch and see the sea lions for $40! Beautiful!
From our earliest communication with the property owner to our departure, Terrasol did not disappoint. The owner promptly responded to our questions and delivered all that was promised. Although our arrival was very late at night, we were assisted with our bags and groceries. Assistance during our stay was only a phone call away. Staff on site are friendly and very courteous.
The newly refurbished apartment had a great view of the ocean from the balcony that attaches to both the living room and master bedroom. The brand new sofa and love seat were also recliners (a nice way to relax after a day on a boat). The master and living room had new flat screen TVs. The master bathroom has a cool, tile soaking tub. The main bathroom just has a shower but it's lovely.
Terrasol is conveniently located within walking distance of the best that Cabo has to offer. The apartment is in the heart of the complex but gives you a nice, quiet place to chill out after a busy night on the town.
We had a wonderful stay at Terrasol unit 212 over Christmas & New Year's. The unit is spacious and worked perfectly for our family. We have 2 small girls and we were completley comfortable for their safely in the unit. Our girls loved the heated pool, the TV & DVD player (Santa comes to Mexico with DVD's) the never ending beach, the amazing sunsets, the friendly staff and fellow travellers...
We loved all that and more. The kitchen and living space for family meals, Mario's poolside/beachside restaurant for laid back meals while the little ones played on the beach steps away (that's as much freedom as parents can get with 2 & 4 yr olds) Walking distance (with the stroller and kids) to just about everything Cabo has to offer.
The resort is private and casual. If you are looking for glamour or partytime, this is not the place for you. If you are looking for spacious rooms, beautiful beaches, amazing sunsets, great casual food, a great pool (or 3!) to lounge around, friendly staff, friendly owners, friendly travellers... This is it!
We'd recommend: A first stop at the Walmart (great steaks & charcoal for the grill) for all your grocery needs. We went to Mega, Sorriana, Costco, and a couple local markets. Embarassed to say Walmart would have met all of our needs without the time consuming trips everywhere. And Solomon's restaurant at the marina for icy cold beers, delicious chicken fingers (kids...) shrimp tacos that are making my mouth water just thinking about them. We went twice and enjoyed everything we tried. Other than Solomon's in the marina and Mario's at the resort, we were dissapointed with the restaurants that we tried, so we grocery shopped since we had a car, and made great meals in the condo. Nothing beats getting the charcoal grill ready, drinking a Pacifico and looking out at the sunset on the Pacific. Actually had to walk out to the beach a few times to drink it in and get a bit more sand time while we worked up our appetites.
Thanks Chuck for renting your place to us. We had a wonderful holiday!
We stayed at this beachfront condo for a full week. The location is fantastic, the views are amazing, and the service is top notch. The condo is spacious and clean, there is security at the front entrance. The beach was not crowded, and was slightly populated by other English-speaking visitors out for a little exercise. The beach walks are fantastic, and the release of the incubated sea turtles was an additional treat. The marina is in very closing walking distance, and you can catch a cab for $6 to the closest grocery store downtown, or a bit farther to Costco. There are many great restaurants in the downtown area. Overall - great place to stay - would definitely go back.
We had such a good time. The condo had such a pretty view and all the amenities were very accommodating and beautiful. The master bedroom had a beautiful view and the bed was very clean and comfortable. I couldn't have been more pleased with our stay. The whole team at Terrasol were so nice and wanting to please us and take care of our needs. I found nothing wrong with this unit.
Mario at the Palapa pool was awesome and made great Margaritas. I wish I could have stayed longer and will come back.
