This comfortable property is a wonderful find in the Charleston area. It is located just a few moments over the bridge into Historic Downtown Charleston, and has 5 bedrooms, plus an in-ground private saltwater swimming pool. Also, the house is just a short drive to the Beach too! Not only that ....our neighborhood docks are open to visitors and are perfect for waterfront fun, and launching a boat.

This one story house is situated on nearly a half acre of land, in the old historic Remley's Point neighborhood on a quiet dead end street. This neighborhood is laced with marshland, tidal creeks, and deep water, plus sunset views of the Charleston Ravenel Bridge. There are 3 public waterfront docks close by, including a dock just a short 2 block walk away....This is a terrific location - just moments by car over the Ravenel Bridge to the Historic District, or the Visitor Center, or to the beaches.

This house has an easy-living one-story floor plan for your vacationing pleasure. The fully equipped kitchen opens by pass-through to both the dining room and the great room. The range is gas. The oven, microwave, double sink, and dishwasher are stainless. The kitchen is nicely finished with granite countertops and a gorgeous tile backsplash.

Connected to the kitchen is an open dining room, so you are never closed off from the action of your group. The convenient dining room has a very large table for your group meals. The flooring in the family room and dining area is a beautiful hardwood cypress.

Adjacent to the Kitchen and Dining Room is the family room. This great room has 2 sturdy burgundy leather couches and a large HDTV over the fireplace. A ceiling fan turns overhead for summer guests; a working fireplace warms winter guests. This is a comfy room for hanging out with your group, when not in the back of the house enjoying the screened in porch, deck and pool.

182 6th Avenue, LLC has 3 sets of outdoor decks, plus a Screened Porch! You might wish to sit on the front porch and rock quietly away, or step through French doors from either of the Master king bed rooms onto the back porches overlooking the yard and pool. There are sets of seating all around the porches, decks, and screened porch… chair groupings, rocking chairs, gliders, tables, and a gas grill.

And although the central gathering spots of this house are terrific, the focus is also on sleeping comfort! The bedrooms are very nice sleep and retreat rooms. We believe in comfortable bedrooms. This house is made for gathering together and creating memories……and also for comfortably escaping to a nice bed with luxury linens!

HOUSE CONFIGURATION:

The #1 bedroom is the spacious Master Suite. It has a deep thick Luxury King Bed. French doors open to the outdoor deck, only steps away from the swimming pool. The flooring is plush carpeting. There is also a small click-clack couch bed for child sleeping space. This Master Suite has a gorgeous, attached private bathroom. This luxury tiled bathroom has it all! Private closet toilet area, double sinks, a glassed in tiled shower, plus a separate tub!

The #2 bedroom is the second Master Suite Bedroom. It is just across the hall, and also has French Doors opening to the outdoor deck on the other side of the screened porch. Step right outside! This oversized huge Master has enough space for a sitting area with a sofa bed, and this room is perfect for a family space. This master has hardwood cypress floors, and shares a hall bathroom. Because this room is very large, it has a King Bed, 1 Double Bed, a Twin cot, and a Queen pullout sofa. It is great for the youngins', or suitable as family sleeping space.

Bedroom #3 is the cozier room, and has a lovely Queen Bed. It has plush carpeting. It is completed with a Ceiling fan and HDTV. This bedroom shares the hallway bathroom.

Bedroom #4 has a gorgeous Queen Bed and Private attached tiled bathroom. This room also has plush carpeting. It is completed with a ceiling fan and HDTV.

Bedroom #5 is outfitted with a Queen Bed and Dresser. The flooring is carpet. It is completed with a ceiling fan and HDTV. This bedroom also shares the hall bathroom.

The washer and dryer are in a separate laundry room off the hallway.

To top it all off….the backyard of the house makes this the perfect vacation location. The Pool is a wonderful family gathering center point. It has a shallow end, a deep end, and a ledge for sitting. You can also crab and fish from the local neighborhood docks just 2 short blocks away. Or just bring your Kayaks and launch from the boat landing at the end of the neighborhood. Try a stand up board. Swing in a hammock, sit on the screened porch, or rock on the outside decks.

Comfy House

We stayed at the Trust House for our family vacation. When we booked the house it was not done. We read the reviews of the other house Laurie and George own and saw all the glowing reviews. We trusted that they would have the Trust house just as nice. We were not disappointed. George met us at the house and gave us a grand tour. We were off to a wedding at the Isle of Palm and George even volunteered to come back to unlock the house when our daughter and her family arrived later that evening. Laurie and George were very accommodating. Laurie answered every email promptly and George came quickly to take care of minor problems at the house. The brand new dryer was not working when we arrived but George had someone there on Monday to fix it. The mowing service blew grass and dirt into the pool and George came to clean it so we could use it that afternoon.

The location of the house was perfect for us. The grocery stores were close and Charleston was just a short drive away. We went into the city every day. What great restaurants they have. We didn't have a bad meal the whole week! We did make 3 evening meals at the house. My husband loved the grill. The ribs, filet and pork tenderloin came out really great! We were out every day visiting the sites during the hot 90 degree days. When we came back to the house it was always cool and comfortable-- very good cooling system. Of course when we came back the kids went into the salt water pool. What fun they had. And so relaxing! The pool was a BIG hit!

Another nice feature of this house is the flat screen TV's in every bedroom. We have never had that in all the other homes we rented. It is a very nice feature. If you needed space then you could get away from the group. Thanks George and Laurie for a very comfortable house!

Fabulous vacation home! Must see!

We are from Michigan, and we love vacationing in South Carolina. This year my family decided to choose Charleston, instead of our (formally) regular Myrtle Beach vacation. We all agreed that we were all very pleased with this house. It was very hot during the day, and we were thrilled to return to "our home" in the afternoons... for pool time!

We ate at some of the downtown restaurants a few nights, ( we loved FIG ) and did touring during the mornings; the men golfed. They said the courses were nice. The house had really good family space to spread including the big master where the teens hung out, while we were able to be in the front den area. Great to have lots of tv's! Our other rentals did not have tv's in every room Our parents liked that the house was all one level. They also stayed behind and relaxed on the screened porch a few of the days and that was good for them. We had 2 full beach days ..Sullivan's Island beach is right down the road, and the house location was perfect for our mixed family needs because it was a great location for everything. Loved the fun restaurants on Sullivans Island too and the ones on Shem Creek. The house was spotlessly clean, pretty, and comfy, so I am giving it a thumbs up and a big recommendation. Thanks to Laurie and George for a great house! We will be back. We would definitely stay here again when we return to Charleston.

Great place to stay!

This was a wonderful home to visit! One of the best parts of this home was the hospitality and helpfulness of the owners George and Laurie. They were so welcoming and helpful and they went out of their way to make our stay special. The location of this home was great. It was close to so many conveniences - downtown Charleston, Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, and lots of other shopping. The interior of the house was beautiful. I loved the décor and furniture in the whole house but my favorite was the main Master bedroom – the photos don’t do it justice. Also, the kitchen was new and well stocked. I must admit, the majority of our time was spent outside by the pool. The backyard was inviting and comfortable and we really liked having a glass of wine (me) and beer (hubby) by the pool in the evening. I highly recommend this home! I can’t wait to come back!

Our Dream Vacation

Pristine, gorgeous, comfortable, spacious, delightful... these are just a few of the words I could use to describe the Trust House. The home was impeccable. Each room was simply lovely in décor and furniture. I am trying to think how I can get the owners Laurie and George to come decorate my home. And speaking of George and Laurie, I couldn't have asked for better landlords. Laurie has been so responsive every step of the way in this rental, no email went unanswered and responses were so prompt. At the house George met us right away as we pulled in and gave us the grand tour. When we needed something, he was exceptionally responsive as well. I felt like they were truly on call for any needs. That said, they didn't need to be because the house is great and everything was in excellent working order.

We were a larger group with 6 adults and 8 children. One of the things that was essential for our vacation was a pool, and I cannot say enough great things about the salt water pool in the back yard. It is so nice and the deck around the pool is wonderful too. The kids had an absolute blast swimming in the pool. George and Laurie have done a wonderful job with the back yard. Meanwhile us adults loved the screened in porch. Many nights were spent lounging on the porch with a glass of wine. The quality time this home allowed me to have with my closest friends is priceless.

In addition, the home is perfectly situated between the beaches and downtown Charleston. We felt like we were close to everything we wanted to do. In addition Mount Pleasant has so much to offer itself including excellent restaurant choices. If you are looking for a little bit of everything in the Charleston area, you could not ask for a better location. The home is set in an up and coming neighborhood as well. While at the house we felt like we were in our own private oasis.

In short, we loved staying in this home and have Laurie and George to thank for it. We felt like we took a little risk booking when the home was still in construction mode and we had no pictures of the inside or the pool. It is the best risk I have ever taken because this house exceeded all of our expectations. Thank you Laurie and George!

Owner's Response: I dont know if you had a chance to visit our neighborhood waterfront docks, or to crab or fish from our local waters. Many guests also enjoy Kayaking and Stand-up Paddleboarding here, or going over to Shem Creek and renting Kayaks there too.
Everything in the house is completed, except we are continuing to enhance the landscaping around the pool, and we intend to put in additional bathrooms in the winter. I am also "dreaming" of an outdoor shower, and I have my fingers crossed.
We are so pleased with the guests, like yourself, who 'trusted us" to book before the house was even completed. It does help that we have over 70 Five-star reviews on our other rentals.
One thing I especially love about this house are the 3 decks plus the screened porch with fans. It seems there is a comfy spot to settle in and enjoy, no matter what the season, or time of year.
I am glad that you appreciated all that our area offers. It is a wonderful location to visit Charleston, the Beaches, and the LowCountry ...so everyone gets just what they want from our special part of the country.

Highly recommend this property

This vacation home was perfect! We had a group of our wedding party stay here for 4 days. They loved the pool, all the updated appliances and the screened in porch out back. The salt water pool was a bonus! On the days that we rehearsed the rest of the party got to sit back and enjoy the quiet poolside or just nap in one of the beautifully furnished rooms and the master has an amazing bathroom and closet. The rooms had flat screen TVs and super comfy beds. George, his wife along with their son pulled all the stops out on this home. The kitchen has updated appliances; the washer and drier are to dream for and the dining room table is unique and easy to clean. There was enough space for everyone not to feel cramped. This is a gorgeous house, has a large backyard that can accommodate cornhole games at poolside with a great back and front porch to with seating areas and even a nice grill (which we didn't use). They overall did a wonderful job in décor, remodeling, just a simply amazing home. We highly recommend this quiet home, it is close to the grocery stores, the Ravenel bridge, restaurants (Sticky Fingers) and parks (Patriot Point). We most certainly appreciate all the work that this family has put into their property. Thank you!

Owner's Response: I think I should explain to all review readers, that your reservation, and your review, was very unique. You visited this rental house, in March, to view it and tour, and you selected it for your wedding party guests, while we were still doing a massive update and remodel. So you actually toured this home when it was in a major demolition stage...the old carpet was pulled out, and the pool was still scheduled for installation, we were awaiting the fence to be built, there was no furniture, and the entire house was being freshly painted. Thank YOU for trusting us, based on our history and the reviews of our other property, to give you a wonderful rental and a great experience, and to proceed with a booking, while you could not even see the actual product. We did "pull out all the stops" because we believe in offering a quality rental and a great experience to all visitors. I know that you wanted more than one house for your group, and now we have 2 in the neighborhood, just a few blocks from each other.
