From the instant you enter the driveway of Villa Belvedere you will be met with the feeling of entering a villa in central Italy. European elegance with its old world charm surrounds you in this beautifully decorated 4,500+ square foot home featuring a protected main entrance. As you open the large wrought-iron front door you will step into a spacious foyer located between the great room with its 23' ceiling on the left and the parlor on the right. Solid luxury and comfort is evident from the wrought iron railings and lighting fixtures, variable lighting controls, 10' ceilings, 8' walnut-stained knotty alder doors, and partially filled, chiseled-edge, travertine tile (versaille pattern) on the main floor. Also on the main level is the large gourmet kitchen with all stainless steel appliances, a large island suitable for socializing and food preparation, granite counter-tops and breakfast nook all with a fantastic view of Lake Hamilton. The great room with its large, cozy fireplace, mid-sized grand piano, and an adjoining large dinning room also with a fantastic view of the lake from almost every room which attests to the name of this home as Villa Belvedere. The entrance to the garage, the laundry room and a powder room also are within easy access on this floor. The upper floor is reached using the beautiful curved stairs. An elevator is also available if required. At the top of the stairs is the master bedroom with a grand view of the lake. Just off the master bedroom is a large walk-in closet and the master bath (with, large shower, whirlpool tub and his & her vanity). Just off the master bedroom is a spacious lanai affording a fantastic retreat to sip your cup of hot coffee and watch the sunrise across the lake and if you are really fortunate you will first hear and then see a gaggle, or two, of Canadian geese fly by. Two additional bedrooms each having their own baths and 2 more bedrooms both sharing a large bathroom are also on that level. There is a reading alcove and a library area, too. The bedrooms are carpeted except for one with oak flooring.

We, Van (retired health educator, high school chemistry, and earth science teacher) and Maggie (critical care nurse), have traveled a lot in Europe and have come to treasure the comfort and elegance of the time honored features of old world homes.
The Owner purchased this house in 2009
We like Hot Springs and believe it is the place to retire. There is the lake, the quiet atmosphere, and the charm of downtown Hot Springs itself. We designed and built this Tuscan inspired home to last forever with a large open floor plan and plenty of space to entertain and enjoy large family gatherings all with fabulous views of the lake. We now have the opportunity to share this large home with others.
Everything Hot Springs has to offer is within a few minutes drive away. Not only does the Belle of Hot Springs pass close to us, but the geese fly low and along our shore as well as do other large birds. The sunrises are spectacular treating the early-riser to the pleasure of a new day, and the color of the sunsets are equally beautiful.
