What a lovely vacation rental!

My wife and I enjoyed nearly three weeks over Christmas and New Year's at Nigel's beach villa. A fabulous location on quiet, clean Klong Nin beach, far away from the bustle and bars that has become so much of the Thai beach scene. The property is lovely, and the private pool and beach front location are superb. Directly adjacent to the property is a small, wonderful Italian restaurant run by Martin and his wife Ning; their pizzas, pastas, salads and steaks, wines and cold German beers are delicious, and, if you prefer, served to your dining table by the chef. Ten meters across the road at the back of the property is "Cook Gai" Thai restaurant, serving a full range of reasonably priced Thai food---all of which makes it unlikely you'll do much cooking (which is good because Nigel's kitchen could do with a bit of stocking up on pots and pans, microwave, etc.) Get a proper beach-front massage. Rent a scooter and tour the island without traffic concerns. Plus great roads for running or cycling, and the ocean was calm and flat making open water swimming lots of fun. Recommended without reservation, unless you're after the wild side of Thailand.
