This quaint little bungalow is perfect for a get-away, family vacation, or retreat. Nestled in the town of Black Mountain, called the 'front porch of the Blue Ridge Mountains,' our Lake Tomahawk Bungalow allows you to experience the loveliness, peace and quiet of a small town. Conveniently located to a treasure load of local attractions and majestic views.
The bungalow itself is located just one walking block from Lake Tomahawk which features a walking path all around the lake where you can feed the ducks, watch children play in the playground, view sculpture strategically placed along the path or bring a blanket and a picnic dinner and sit on the lawn for the Lake Tomahawk summer series Thursday night concerts.
If relaxation and rest is your objective, settle into our comfy deck chairs with a good book and a tall glass of ice tea or a cold drink and let the rest of your crew walk across the street and play tennis. You have a great view of the courts from the deck so you can relax and still monitor their play safely.
Downtown Black Mountain offers many quaint shops for purchasing clothing, kitchen knick-knacks, antiques, specialty items, children toys and more. There are many restaurants to choose from including wood-fired pizza and fresh pasta, Thai, sushi, authentic Mexican, local delis and a chocolate shop. The surrounding areas boast hiking, walking/running and mountain bike trails. Check out Montreat College's campus for easy to difficult climbs including the Lookout Trail which boasts a 360 degree view of the Swannanoa Valley.
