SHOREPINE BEACH HOUSE, CLOSEST TO THE BEACH AND OCEAN

This beach house is really very well equipped and furnished. The location is great, just a short walk over the dune to the beach where you can walk to the Cape Kiwanda. There are also a number of great hikes close to this location. Numerous beach toys were provided. This was the best house of the six we rented in 2012.

I am a California who stays a week in Summer and at Christmas on the Oregon Coastline. Have stayed in several towns from Manzanita down to Bandon. Pacific City is like finding the perfect girlfriend. And no one will find you here. Easy drive down through Salem and across a lonely isolated highway with a bunch of 1 lane bridges. You have to KNOW Pacific City is there. I found the Murray's house while jogging on a rainy Christmas Eve. It is so perfectly located to the Dune Boardwalk that takes you up
over the Dunes in about 2 minutes and drops you and your glass of wine right down onto a beach to die for. You'll discover how unusual the sandscape is but you'll immediately see Haystack Rock
and as the Sun sets behind it each night you won't be alone from the top of the Dune Station. If you
run out of wine, another sunset watcher will share. Nearby is the totally fun Pelican Inn. Most everyone around you enjoying the Gigantic Gotta Climb Dune and Haystack Rock out in the surf has to drive back home to Portland or Salem that night after their daytrip while you simple walk down the street 5 minutes back to ShorePine Beach House. You gotta find the tiniest breakfast spot in the world. 5 tables
across from the gas station. To die for. Easy daytrip up to the Tillamook Cheese Factory or Oceanside or down the coast for lunch. But you'll always want to be back to this house, if you ever left in the first place. Watching old Alfred Hitchcock movies on the DVD player. sitting out behind on
the perfectly placed private deck or up in the Read a Book loft. or listening to some Smooth Jazz off
your laptop. and wondering.......should I retire here? Shore Pine is a house.....Pacific City is a tiny
Oregon Coastline town, hideaway, I think about, dream about, nearly everyday back home in California, counting the 6 months down to my next stay. always wondering if I should just buy a 1 way ticket.

This is our 4th summer to the Oregon Coast and this is by far our favorite place. The location is second to none with the boardwalk right outside the door across to a nearly empty beach. You name the beach activity, we did it! The owners of this house understand hospitality and it rates as the best out of many VRBO stays around the world. Lots of little touches and generous offerings didn't go unnoticed. Best of all, the master bed defined comfortable, and I was tempted to dig into it to find what we needed to buy for home. Communication with the owner is outstanding as well. Highlights: The fantastic set of bikes in the garage along with all the sand toys, chairs, and umbrella. Driving 1 mile north of town and out onto the beach and building a campfire at sunset with no one else around and hoping we could get back out (4WD, no problem!). Hiking the Cascade Head, amazing views (look this up online.). Sitting in the dunes with a book watching the afternoon slip away with a good book. Body boarding in the ideal surf conditions with a wetsuit of course. The list goes on, but I would recommend Pacific City and this perfectly located house especially if you have kids!
