Photos and Description of the San Francisco vacation apartment rental
1 Bedroom, 1 Bath (Sleeps 2)

This unique property, which was originally constructed in 1908, was completely rebuilt and decorated in 2009. The rebuilding kept intact the apartment's classic San Franciscan style as well as its feel. The flat is located in the heart of Telegraph Hill's North Beach area, San Francisco's most desirable location due to its uniquely good weather, sun exposure and centrality to many of the city's most attractive features. The apartment's positioning on Telegraph Hill places it steps below Coit Tower, a location that allows for breathtaking views of the San Francisco skyline.

The property has a living/dining room, kitchen, 1 bedroom, 1 full bath, and a large roof terrace. The living/dining area enjoys southern light exposure year-round and has spectacular views of both Nob Hill and Russian Hill through its large windows. The kitchen itself is equipped with a new 24' Viking range, 24' high end apartment refrigerator, and a high quality Bosch dishwasher.

The bedroom is above a quiet street and the bathroom has a full shower and claw foot tub. The terrace has full sun and has a peek-a-boo view of the Golden Gate bridge.

North Beach is a wonderful part of San Francisco characterized by its culture and nightlife. There is an abundance of restaurants, shopping and tourist destinations within walking distance from the flat that include City Lights Bookstore, Mama's Cafe and Mario's Bohemian Cigar Shop. From the apartment to North Beach's Washington Square is about a 3 minute walk.

The Unique Benefits at this Apartment: The outdoor patio is a beautiful respite after a day spent exploring the city. The patio is quiet and has spectacular views that can be appreciated at any time of day, whether you have just woken up or are coming home after a long night out. Another favorite feature is that the surrounding areas can easily be visited on foot, and public transportation or cab travel can get you everywhere else. We love that a car is not a necessity. On a normal day, we wake up and walk to a café and relax before heading out on our explorations. The truth is, North Beach has a feel that is very much like that of a classic European city with cafés, good restaurants and classic architecture.

I didn't want to leave...

It was really hard to admit to myself that this wasn't my own apartment and that I actually had to leave. Every detail is perfect. It's stocked with everything you'd ever want in your home - nice linens, towels, kitchen supplies...the roof deck is a dream, the fireplaces (yes, there are two) are such a great touch in foggy San Francisco and the wood floors and high ceilings were everything I've ever dreamed of.

Whenever I'm back in SF, I will absolutely stay here. If it's already reserved, I'll consider bribing whoever has it.

Thank you to Tami and Mark for being such gracious, thoughtful hosts as well. They were so wonderful.

A perfect place to stay

This little gem of a flat was the perfect place for me and my daughter to have as a home base to explore San Francisco. The location is perfect. High on a hill overlooking the city, with a glimpse of the Golden Gate Bridge. A great view in the evening as the sun was setting, and an inspiring place to have a cup of tea in the morning. If you get up early enough, you can watch the bird ballet from the lovely patio.
The flat was a welcome to come home to after walking all over the city. Very comfortable and well equipped. The host even provided us a bottle of lovely wine.
I would not only recommend this property to a friend, I would surely stay here again!!
The neighborhood is GREAt!!! Great restaurants and shops within a short walk. We loved Don Pisto's on Union St. The neighborhood is very quiet, but close to the bustle of the city.
San Francisco is a beautiful city. We had a amazing visit.

An Enchanting Place in an Atmospheric City

My husband and I stayed at this place three times so far, and that says it all! The place is lovely and the location is perfect. It is a twenty-minute leisurely walk to Downtown and Union Square, ten-minute walk to Fisherman’s Wharf and the food markets, and a few minutes hike to Coit Tower from where you can enjoy the view, catch a glimpse of the wild parrots, or take the Filbert steps down to the Embarcadero. The apartment is only few blocks away from North Beach boutiques, restaurants, and nightlife, and yet it is quiet and peaceful. It is close to bus stops for other SF neighborhoods such as the Marina and Union Street. There is also a bus stop (#39) up the hill in case one is tired of walking or carrying too many shopping bags. The apartment is as charming as the pictures show it. The kitchen is well-equipped. The fireplaces add a special charm on cool days while the patio is a prime spot for enjoying a beautiful weather and the pretty views. This place is simply lovely and we already miss it!

"I left my heart in San Francisco"

What a fantastic city and this was a lovely place to experience it compared to hotels in the Financial District where I normally stay. The apartment was fabulous! We arrived on the Saturday of Labour Day weekend and what a surprise to find cheese and wine in the fridge for us to enjoy. It was very clean with modern amenities, but you knew you were in a turn of the century home. The rooftop deck is large and a great place to sit and enjoy a glass of wine and the city below as the sun goes down. Being located in North Beach you're within walking distance to Columbus and side streets with all the Italian restaurants and stores, Chinatown, City Lights Books (a must see) and Beach Blanket Babylon. Okay, the last one isn't necessarily a must see, but it's really fun and close by. You're also close to Fisherman's Wharf and the Financial District. The pictures on the website are what sold me on the apartment and it looks the same in person. You won't be disappointed!

Lovely Pied A Terre with Gorgeous Views in Beautiful San Francisco Neighborhood

This is truly a special place to stay and enjoy San Francisco.... I just spent a month here and could not have been more pleased. It was exactly as shown in the photographs and was spotlessly clean. The owner was attentive and responsive to questions and made me feel very welcome. This beautifully and efficiently designed home has everything you need but with special touches that go well beyond inside as well as outside on the beautiful terrace with amazing views. The fireplaces give the home a cozy feel and the furniture, bed and linens provided are all very high quality. The location is close enough to the activity around Washington Square Park and the plethora of great restaurants in North Beach, yet removed from it enough to ensure peace and quiet....The immediate neighborhood is residential and unquestionably secure. This is a truly romantic "hideaway" in San Francisco which has inspired me to want to return here again and again...I'd recommend it to friends and family without hesitation.
