This unique property, which was originally constructed in 1908, was completely rebuilt and decorated in 2009. The rebuilding kept intact the apartment's classic San Franciscan style as well as its feel. The flat is located in the heart of Telegraph Hill's North Beach area, San Francisco's most desirable location due to its uniquely good weather, sun exposure and centrality to many of the city's most attractive features. The apartment's positioning on Telegraph Hill places it steps below Coit Tower, a location that allows for breathtaking views of the San Francisco skyline.
The property has a living/dining room, kitchen, 1 bedroom, 1 full bath, and a large roof terrace. The living/dining area enjoys southern light exposure year-round and has spectacular views of both Nob Hill and Russian Hill through its large windows. The kitchen itself is equipped with a new 24' Viking range, 24' high end apartment refrigerator, and a high quality Bosch dishwasher. The bedroom is above a quiet street and the bathroom has a full shower and claw foot tub. The terrace has full sun and has a peek-a-boo view of the Golden Gate bridge.
North Beach is a wonderful part of San Francisco characterized by its culture and nightlife. There is an abundance of restaurants, shopping and tourist destinations within walking distance from the flat that include City Lights Bookstore, Mama's Cafe and Mario's Bohemian Cigar Shop. From the apartment to North Beach's Washington Square is about a 3 minute walk.

Our names are Mark and Tami Becker and we are design professionals. Over the years we have been fortunate enough to travel extensively throughout the world visiting relatives in England, celebrating our marriage in Greece, living abroad in France and Tami even navigated her way through the Gobi desert. All of this traveling has led to our home in San Francisco.

San Francisco is home to a great deal of diversity and culture and North Beach is the heart of that culture. Also, because Mark is a designer, he insisted upon finding a location with good weather and proximity to the quaint, classic areas of the city. We love this location due to the ability to walk everywhere and the feeling of being in a large city, but not being overwhelmed. North Beach is the epitome of a comfortable, inviting neighborhood with all the positive features of a large city.
The outdoor patio is a beautiful respite after a day spent exploring the city. The patio is quiet and has spectacular views that can be appreciated at any time of day, whether you have just woken up or are coming home after a long night out. Another favorite feature is that the surrounding areas can easily be visited on foot, and public transportation or cab travel can get you everywhere else. We love that a car is not a necessity. On a normal day, we wake up and walk to a café and relax before heading out on our explorations. The truth is, North Beach has a feel that is very much like that of a classic European city with cafés, good restaurants and classic architecture.
This little apartment was just great! It has everything you need and the view is just spectacular. You're right under Coit Tower so there are a few steep hills to reach the flat, but it's worth it once you do. Place has a full kitchen with everything you need to cook meals, but there's no need as North Beach is a 5 minute walk and the food there is delicious! A quick walk uphill to coit tower and you have beautiful views of the city from the golden gate bridge to the financial district. Checking in and out was simply and easy, and the place has 2 fireplaces for any super chilly days. I've stayed in 2 other places in the city and this was by far the best, and will be my first choice when I go back to San Francisco. Thanks for everything!
I absolutely loved this place! It was beautiful and comfortable and a great location. We were there for a week, and I am ready to come back. I will definitely check for this place first. I love the fireplaces and the balcony and the restaurants/cafes close by. Every day I enjoyed my walk to get coffee and to Washington square park. I enjoyed the great restaurants and nightlife close by. The view of the city from the balcony is beautiful! Checking in and out was flawless. Thank you for everything!
A good vacation starts before you get there.
And perhaps no minutes are more important than those first minutes when a couple arrives after ten hours of traveling - weary, stiff, and not a little cranky - and finds their dreamaway has been waiting for THEM.
We climbed a darling staircase carpeted in fuchsia and spilled ourselves into a room cut straight from the pages of House Beautiful. The air was cool and the windows were open, a perfect undertow accentuating the blazing fire pushing a belt of heat throughout a room teeming with crisp, clean light, lithe lines, and punches of pizazz and color woven into every nook and atop every mantle. The word "gorgeous" fits nicely.
When I leave the comfort and bounty of my own home and take up residence someplace else, the very worst thing that can happen - a total vacation crusher - is feeling as though I don't have any of my THINGS. I packed everything but the dog (no pets allowed), and having a home, with a microwave, refrigerator, hand towels, silverware, dishes, blankets, television, and plenty of room for all our things made us feel like we were exactly where this site advertises: home and away, both at once. This place comes fully stocked, with everything from extra blankets to an espresso machine, but it doesn't skimp on the essentials either. And after a long day away, full of walking and sightseeing, coming "home" was an absolute pleasure. I enjoyed being among the frenetic energy during the day, however, I recharge when I am alone, and without a place in which to be still and quiet, to sip coffee, and read a book, I would never have been able to defizzle enough to enjoy the go-go-go. Staying here was like having our own timezone. We decided when and where to.
The views, oh my, the views; just outside the back door is a sprawling view of the city. Many a nights my husband and I stood outside and basked in the lights, the fog, the city wrapping its arms around us. We were fortunate enough to have three spectacularly sunny days, and I thoroughly enjoyed "downtime," which involved copious reading on the deck, under the umbrella.
Thank you for helping make our ten year anniversary one we will never forget, and always reflect back on with fondness.

The perfect home base for a 4-day San Francisco vacation. We arrived and happened to run into the downstairs neighbors, who gave us the 411 on spots to visit in the area and the fact that we wouldn't even need to start the car. He even introduced me to Uber!
One block from Little Italy and a couple more to Chinatown. Just blocks from Fisherman's Wharf and steps from Coit Tower. The place is super clean and obviously furnished and painted by an interior designer. There us an Alice in Wonderland vibe with large keyholes and Victorian influences everywhere. AMAZING tub and also enclosed shower. VERY comfortable bed, and a view of the city to die for!
We will be back because this is now my go-to spot in San Francisco. It was also my first experience with VRBO and I couldn'd be happier. No more hotels for me!
This is a delightful, clean, very comfotable, exclellently located apartment. We loved it, it was perfect!
We loved the apartment: great location, spectacular views, comfortable furniture...and did I say spectacular views? We spent many moments watching the sun coming up, lighting the city beneath the windows; the evening hours were as wonderful. Thanks for making this magical place available!
