Papohaku Beach House Rental Photos and Description
House, 4 Bedrooms, 4 Baths, Sleeps 8+, Newly Renovated
Experience Moloka'i in this 3,000 square foot architecturally-designed vacation rental home located on the West End of the island of Moloka'i, Hawaii.
A new owner took over the property in March 2012 and major improvements to the property have now been completed, including: all new appliances and outfitting of kitchen; new LP gas BBQ; new deck furniture; new king size beds and bedding; and all new soft goods. Beautiful remodeling of all four in-suite bathrooms completed in June 2012, including glass and stone shower surrounds.
These beautiful, Bali-inspired accommodations overlook Papohaku Beach--Hawaii's longest & widest beach known for its soft, warm sand & deserted atmosphere. The home sits approximately 600 yards above the beach. Each suite has a view of the ocean. Facing west, guests will see the twinkling lights of Oahu at night & enjoy spectacular sunsets reflecting off the Pacific Ocean.
Known as 'Hale Papapa Moloka'i (formerly Miller Molokai) these beautiful Molokai accommodations have four separate suites, each with their own bath, private, screened lanai & telephone.
Of the 4 suites, 3 feature king-size beds and the 4th is furnished with 2 twin-beds that can be combined into a king. Additionally, cots and pads, ideal for young children, are available for sleeping on the lanais. The house is most comfortable for 8 people.
Rental rates vary depending on the number of bedrooms occupied. No matter the number of suites occupied, vacation renters will have exclusive use of the premises.
Anchored in the center of the four suites is the 'long house' with living room, dining room and kitchen. 6 double french doors allow the beautiful tropical breezes flow through the house while two large ceiling fans keep the living area cool. The four suites are semi-detached from the long house, but connected by covered walkways. This unique floor plan lends itself well to larger groups & families who enjoy vacationing together, but still like to maintain a bit of privacy.
Views of the ocean from the pool, outdoor spa and deck areas. Soothing gardens & birdsong abound. A caretaker is located full-time on the property housed in separate accommodations away from the main house.
If you are a lover of the Hawaiian Islands, a visit to Moloka'i should not be missed. It is peaceful, quiet, non-touristy and family-oriented. Frequent rainbows, the tallest sea cliffs in the world, spectacular tropical & coastline beauty, and deserted beaches - it's all here waiting to be experienced in this very special house that has an incredibly relaxing, rustic, tropical vibe. Surround area offers secluded beaches, hiking, mountain biking and great places for runs or walks.

Guestbook comments from the owner
We wanted to let you know how much we appreciated our time at your beautiful house. What a relief it was to arrive there after all that exhausting traveling! Unfortunately time flew by, but we will definitely try to return to this wonderful island some day even though it is not quite on the way from Switzerland. We explored all the beaches at the West End, loved Kepuhi bay and went swimming regularly. The kids loved the surf, of course always under fatherly guidance. Laura is taking great care of the garden, which is amazing and the house was impeccable when we arrived. Thank you of giving me the advice of Moloka'i Bicycles. Philip was great-- he even went exploring the woods with us. Everything was perfect and we fell in love with Moloka'i and your house! Thank you!
