Keywords: The house is located 9 miles north of the town of Gold Beach. One-half mile North of the Ophir State Park Rest Area.
The home was built by one of the best contractors in the area. It's unique style and natural elements truly shows in this custom built home. He and his wife have lived in Gold Beach for over 17 years. They have travelled to many areas of the world. Gold Beach was discovered unexpectedly and found it's community small town atmosphere and nature to be the place to call their own for 17 years.
The views and privacy are incredible. Although you are short distance from the town of Gold beach we believe that it s well worth the distance to obtain the privacy and unique view this property has. The close access to the highway makes it very easy to take a drive north or south.
On our first trip to the Oregon coast we were amazed at the this home. The floor to ceiling windows that faced the ocean provided some of the most spectacular views that we have ever seen. We were able to see whales from the comfort of an easy chair. My wife, an unabashed foodie, had a wonderful time in the beautiful kitchen and the family was able to be part of everything with the open floor plan. The home is secluded but not far from amenities in the nearby town of Gold Beach ( about a 9 minute drive away). The beach was easy to get to and we loved the sunsets from the house and the beach. Kirk, the property manager, fielded all of our questions, told us about what to see and do and even made reservations at a couple good restaurants for us. There was plenty of space for our party of four and we had a great vacation. We strongly recommend the Seascape house for any getaway and look forward to returning!
House is positive in ambiance and decor, spacious, adequately decorated. There is a major highway between the house and the ocean and it is difficult to get across due to a waterway on the ocean side. When we arrived, it was infested with mice.
This beautiful home (is the most lavish and comfortable we have ever been able to share), was easy to find and the description and pictures do not do the property justice, but do indicate the magnificence of the home. The owner and Kurt provided excellent answers and response to any questions we had. Overall it was clean and well maintained. A few extraneous spider webs, but the main lving areas were spotless. The kitchen is amazing, with everything we needed and a lot more.
The only thing that will be needed is a fly swatter, which were sold out in every store in Gold Beach. Thank goodness for newspaper.
I would and have recommended the property to my friends and co-workers, although I will hate being in competion with them to obtain the dates we will want to schedule in the future.
We had the best vacation in years - ambiance and sunsets made our second honeymoon most memorable (only took 21 years).
We did forget two dog toys, a yellow frisbee like throw toy, and and a red squeaky toy. Please save them for our next stay, which we hope will be very soon.
We really hated to leave, and this vacation made us realize what a great area to move, when I retire and we can find a home in the area.
Thank You !!!
Our stay at this home was absolutely wonderful! Very close to beach, redwoods, and town. Made a few meals at the house in the beautiful kitchen. All rooms have ocean views thar are breathtaking!! We couldn't have hoped for a nicer vacation!!
My family and I stayed here over Christmas 2011 and we really enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere, the spectacular views of the Pacific ocean, and the sound of the surf. The kitchen is very well equipped and open to the great room and the views.
The home is brand new, and the property and grounds well maintained.
The town of Gold Beach is a few miles down the road for eacy grocery shopping. Don't expect to find many specialty items or fine dining on the Southern Oregon coast, but all of your basic needs are available and the house has everything you need to sit back, relax, and enjoy being away by the sea.
This is a beautiful home. The views througout almost every room are truely amazing. The kitchen is beautiful with a great open layout. And most importantly, the home is very clean. Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful home. We cooked, ate and laughed our way through Thanksgiving in style :)
The house offers seclusion but you are within a few miles from hiking Humbug Mtn. and any part of the coast from Gold Beach to Port Orford. Another 40 min. drive south will take you to Salmon Run in Brookings. Horseback riding is nearby, as well as at Pistol River (20 miles south) which offers horseback riding, surfing, windsurfing, wonderful beach walking and another great hike at Cape Sebastian.
