CAMP TENNESSEE : THE PERFECT ADIRONDACK GETAWAY !

This home was beatiful warm, cozy and very clean. It was fully stocked with all you need for a great vacation. plenty of dishes and all the pots and pans you need. Our children and grandchildren LOVED the house, very spacious and comfortable..we enjoyed playing games by the fireplace...the kitchen was a delite to cook in....we enjoyed the tubing only 5 mintues away and the skiing at whiteface mountain..we found dog sledding at lake placed only 10 minutes away a great experience for the kids and all....love the games and special room for the kids they really enjoyed it ...my mother who is 82 came with us and she loved it. lots of room for a big family. thank you for sharing your home with us..we will call for next year..

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Camp Tennessee. We stayed for a week in February 2012 that was rather warm for the Adirondacks. Lucky for us, Mt. pisgah was just high enough in elevation for there to be snow on it so the kids could go outside and play in the snow. We also loved the proximity to Lake Placid and nearby hikes and other fun stuff to do with the kids.
As far as the house goes, we had 4 adults and 4 kids and didn't find the house very sound insulated. As soon as someone is up, everyone's up! Also, wish the upstairs room for kids to hang out in was a little bigger (or maybe a smaller desk) so the kids had a little more room. Lastly, it would have been nice if the house ws stocked with the basics ( dishwasher detergent, sugar, cooking spices, etc) as we found we were often stopping at the store to pick up these items that are usually stocked in rentals.
Despite this, we would definitely rent here again... It's a beautiful location with tremendous views.

This place was breathtakingly beautiful!!! Beautiful inside and out. Immaculate. Great location. Well stocked with all the necessities and some bonuses like movies and baby/kids' things. The only downside (or upside) is that you can hear everything going on upstairs from downstairs very well. I am sure it is great for heat efficiency in the winter, and those of us with babies/kids don't need to bring monitors. But, I suppose it could be uncomfortable if you are sharing the place with people that aren't family. Regardless, we will be back and will be telling our friends!
