Hi There I've been a Victoria resident for 31 years this August. In that time I have lived in James Bay for the last 17years. I love the location with it's proximity to the ocean and downtown. I'm a building contractor and Licensed Realtor - building more than 65 homes in James Bay alone. In 1999 I built a Bed & Breakfast, which I then ran for four years - cooking, cleaning and meeting some of the worlds most interesting people. This vacation rental property is another adventure. I love meeting people and helping them to enjoy our wonderful city. I recently opened my own real estate office in James Bay as well.

I chose this property for it's location. Victoria is known for it heritage. I bought the dilapidated property in 2008 and embarked on the expensive proposition of completely renovating the home and grounds. The property has a unique zoning which allows us to rent to vacationers. Victoria has much to offer for a traveler to do and experience. With this comfortable and well situated home, you can walk to see it all !

Beautiful rental in ideal location

We had a wonderful stay. There was plenty of room for two couples and a baby. The suite is in walking distance to downtown and Fisherman's Wharf. Mark was excellent to deal with and very accommodating. We will recommend this vrbo to any of our friends or family who visit Victoria!

A Home for the Holidays

This property is absolutely fantastic! We spent the Christmas holiday here, and we could not have picked a better place. The condo is more beautiful in person than in the photos. The clawfoot tub in the master bathroom was wonderful for soaking after a long day of walking around Victoria. The second bedroom is a bit small, but was fine for our two teenage girls. Our teenage son slept on the couch, and he was quite comfortable. It would be nice, though, if there was a sleeper sofa. Everything that we needed was provided, including a fireplace with mantel for "hanging" our stockings. Mark, the owner, was so kind. He allowed us to have a small Chirstmas tree, which we decorated with handmade objects. Our dog felt comfortable in the condo, and it was easy to take her for a walk in the neighborhood. We have visited Victoria many times, but this was the first time we stayed for a whole week. We could easily have stayed longer! We loved shopping on Government street. It was fun to see the Christmas trees displayed at the Empress. High tea at Butchart Gardens was fantastic (and much more reasonable that at the Empress.) We had an incredible Christmas Eve dinner at The Keg Steakhouse. Not many restaurants are open for Christmas Eve, so make reservations early. It was so festive to walk around Victoria at night; all the Christmas lights were so pretty. We would highly recommend a stay at this condo to anyone, and we certainly hope to visit again soon.

What an excellent place to stay! Thanks Mark! This property was perfect for the four of us. We could not have asked for a better location (close to Fisherman's Wharf, the Inner Harbour, Downtown Victoria, shopping and grocery store) - all within walking distance. The unit itself had all the necessities provided - making meals was a breeze, very comfortable beds, nice deck with bbq, garage for parking, washer and dryer - everything and more! We would not stay anywhere else and will be back for sure.

Pictures didn't do the property justice. Location was perfect for clipper arrival and access to harbor. The owner was available for questions before and during stay. The place was very clean except for the wood floors. They were swept but needed to be cleaned with soap and water. I will stay there again and would definitely recommend to friends and relatives. I haven't found a restaurant in Victoria I didn't like and have been there 7 times. Of course the Butchardt gardens are amazing/
