A perfect 'honeymoon getaway' for any stage in your relationship, our cozy and romantic A-frame is situated one hundred feet from our large Tudor A-frame with a stand of cedar in between for privacy. It is old-world styled to match, furnished in antiques, with a separate drive and beach area.
Inside, it is an efficiency-type with tumbled marble floor, electric heat, a Queen Anne futon that makes into a very comfortable double bed, a combination sink-stove-refrigerator/freezer unit, and kitchen area. There is a half-bath with built in vanity and granite counter top and an attached classy stone and timber private hot outdoor two-person shower.
There is a large stone and cedar deck overlooking Lake Michigan, complete with deck chairs and an elaborate corner bench and table for outside dining. The view from there is spectacular; and from the beach a few steps away, you can see Charlevoix, Beaver Island, and the entrance to the Straits of Mackinaw.
M119, at the top of our bluff, is extremely popular with bicyclists and car buffs who never tire of the 'green tunnel of trees' with magnificent views of the lake between Harbor Springs and the sand dunes of Sturgeon Bay north of Cross Village. Evenings will provide some of the most beautiful sunsets you have ever seen and occasional northern-light spectacles best viewed near the warmth of a beach fire.

We had a fabulous vacation staying at the Guest House. The setting is so peaceful, relaxing, and full of beauty. Each day we walked the Lake Michigan coastline and at night enjoyed a campfire on the beach. The location is so conveniently located in the tunnel of trees, close to Leggs Inn, and many quaint small towns. The owners were so very welcoming and helpful. We truly enjoyed our stay and will make plans to be back. Thanks!
What a wonderful stay! My wife, baby and I were attending a wedding in Traverse City in June so we decided to extend our stay in Michigan and travel up to Harbor Springs for the 4th of July week. I highly recommended this guest house to anyone who is looking to get away from it all for a while. The view of the lake is stunning, we made a beach fire every night and ate our weight in smores. The house is of course small - but extremely cosy - every nook and cranny has its purpose and the space is well designed. Our baby co-sleeps with us and all three of us fit snugly in to the pull-out sofa bed. It's a lot like very upscale camping with your own little kitchen, washroom and incredible outdoor shower.
This spot is beyond amazing! The cabin itself is small but has everything you need to enjoy a relaxing getaway. The outdoor shower was delightful (even when a bit chilly in the morning!) The property is beautiful and incredibly well maintained (hummingbirds and butterflies were frequent visitors while out on the spacious deck!) and the owners obviously take great pride in providing such a beautiful locale. The location of the cabin is somewhat remote but close to many different points of interest (Good Hart General Store has amazing pies and cookies!) and with a little bit of a drive you can be in Harbor Springs, Petoskey, etc. I would recommend this spot to anyone who is looking for an Up North getaway for two and I think we will definitely be back!
My husband and I spent a week in this cottage and absolutely loved it! There is no doubt it is small but it is unlike any other cabin we've rented. Beautiful workmanship - the outdoor shower is really cool! Even though the owners have their house next door, it is very private. We brought our dog with us who was in heaven being able to swim every day. Will be back.
We stayed in this tiny, efficient, guest house over Columbus Day weekend and we had a wonderful experience. Yes, it's tight, but with perfect weather, we were able to spend most of our stay outside on the deck, in adorondack chairs provided down by the beach, or walking the coast searching for the perfect rocks. Thanks to the owners for allowing us to bring the dog! We'll be back as this is our new little secrect place.
Leggs Inn was perfect for a fall dinner, the "tunnel of trees" did not disappoint, and Harbor Springs was a short drive away.
