This beachfront home offers a peaceful setting with 180 degree ocean views and a long stretch of sandy beach!

The house is raised so there is single level living space with covered parking underneath. The home has a long deck with great ocean views and a gas grill and the views extend from the living room, dining room and kitchen! The master bedroom features a king bed with a private bathroom with a tub and shower. The second bedroom features a desk if you need to work while you are away and a thick, comfortable queen futon bed. There are two cots available for the kids to use as well.

The kitchen is fully stocked and has great views for whale watching as you prepare the family meal! There is a large dining table that seats 6 and two comfortable sofas with cable TV and a DVD player in the living room for entertainment after sunset.

The property is perfect for storm watching!!! The house is very close to the beach with marsh land behind it, or in front of it... depends on how you look it. Although the public beach access is right next to this property, we felt safe and secure. The property was well-maintained and clean. There was plenty of hot water and the heating system worked fabulously!! At night the sky was a blanket of stars and the moon was breathtaking!!! It was a spectacular show! We loved our stay in Cape Meares and will definitely rent from Vacasa again!

This was a wonderful home, with everything needed for a vacation with "at home" ammenities! People in the community are very friendly, and lots of things to do in short day trips if necessary.

Incredible Location!

This was our third trip to Cape Meares, however our first, but not our last, staying at the Lighthouse. The location is incredible with just a small sand dune between the house and the beach. The beach is more than 5 miles long and is great for walking,jogging or just enjoying the sights and sounds of the ocean and often with only a few people on it. As Cape Meares is a very small, quiet and friendly community.

The house is small, but very comfortable with a well a equipped kitchen. When you are sleeping all you hear is the sound of the surf. Our compliments to the Vacasa folks as while we were there the dishwasher did it's "last wash" and it was promptly replaced.

We have already made our reservation to return next summer!!

Dream Getaway

Both my husband and I wanted a quiet getaway and this place was that and more. We can't wait to come back with our family. We wouldn't change a thing with either the cottage or the location. A perfect way to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. Two thumbs.....way up!

Can't wait for next time......
As we are both faculty at a community college we spend most of our days interacting with people. This fabulous getaway gave us a much-needed respite from the endless talking and listening we do on a daily basis in our jobs. We are not interested in 'touristy' places, and Cape Meares is simply a quiet, peaceful and gorgeous vacation spot. We are looking forward to visiting in the winter when we are sure the storms will be most enjoyable.
