Rates range from $125-$200/night. CALL, TEXT OR EMAIL for PERSONALIZED QUOTE. And be sure you mark VRBO and HomeAway 'Not Junk' in your email program.

Just 3 blocks from the Plaza, the Biscochito Holiday Casita – named for New Mexico’s official special-occasion cookie, the 'biscochito' – is a sweet freestanding, fully-equipped adobe guesthouse that is beautiful, comfortable and clean, clean, clean! Two artists designed it, and guests love the attention to décor and detail. That plus the perfect Santa Fe setting in a quiet historic downtown neighborhood in this ideal location near the Plaza and surrounding restaurants, markets, galleries, shopping, performance spaces, the Convention Center, the railyard and museums (walk 2 short blocks to the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum!)

You are greeted with a supply of specialty coffee and teas in the granite-tile countertop kitchen that has everything: mini-refrigerator, two-burner countertop stove, microwave, D/W, coffeepot, tea kettle, blender, toaster, stainless pots-and-pans, dishes, wine goblets and more. Expect ironed pillowcases, fine linens and bedding on the queen-size bed, ample fluffy soft towels for the bathroom with gorgeously tiled shower and skylight.

Traditional beamed ceilings, French doors, dimmer contemporary fixtures, original artwork, red leather arm chairs, high-speed wifi, 26” flat screen Cable TV/DVD, and stacked W/D. Electric only with on-demand water heater (endless hot water) and baseboard heat. A/C available or operable skylight for warm times. The private brick patio with umbrella table and tabletop charcoal barbecue is enclosed with Santa Fe style coyote (cedar post) fencing. Parking provided, too!

Ideal for two! And there's more ...

Get mileage on your relaxation by starting your stay with a fantastic massage! Owner Victoria is a retired RN in private massage therapy practice more than 18 years. The massage (and art) studio is just 1 block from the casita. No need to resist - treat yourself with an appointment (go to http://www.victoria-rogers.com for details at the Massage tab).

For more than 2 people, consider reserving or combining with the adjacent Biscochito House, VRBO #308730!

About Victoria Rogers

Victoria Rogers, RN, LMT, MA, owns and manages her properties, finding usefulness for a lifetime of professional experiences, too many and numerous to mention (see http://www.victoria-rogers.com for details, including massage offering just a block from the casita!) Bringing beauty to the environment, love to the people and happiness to the experience is her specialty, and meeting guests who expect less but get so much more gives her pleasure. She was entranced by New Mexico in 1979 and since then, has had a romance with the land and the culture that is wonderful to share with new discoverers of the region. Her photography is in a historic permanent collection at the New Mexico Museum of Art. Her new book, 'Santa Fe's Historic McKenzie Neighborhood', published in April 2011, is also a fun walking tour guidebook of the area's architecture. Find out more about this property at http://www.biscochitoholidaycasita.com.

Victoria Rogers purchased this house in 2007

Why Victoria Rogers chose Santa Fe

As an artist, I felt fortunate to have such a wonderful downtown lifestyle in the midst of the history and new cultural offerings in Santa Fe. Renovating an adobe structure into a magical guesthouse opened the door to inviting kindred-travelers to experience this extraordinary 'City Different' along with us appreciative residents.

What makes this house unique

A retreat from the world yet a fun walk a couple of blocks through our architecturally interesting neighborhood into town. Great for jumping on a bicycle or as a jumping off spot for daytrips to the explore the magnificent New Mexico landscape. Easy to cook at home or spontaneously head to any number of terrific nearby restaurants and cafes for delicious New Mexican cuisine. Staying cozy in the softly-lit casita, listening to the quiet during siesta or at bedtime. Leaving the car behind when going to a museum, shopping, a meeting at the Convention Center or a performance!

Stunning casita in Santa Fe close to Plaza

  • 5 of 5
I had a too-brief opportunity to travel to Santa Fe and selected this cottage. It is gorgeous. The furniture and the floor rug (!!) are excellent and the appointments (kitchen and bathroom) just perfect. Better yet, it is located in the old Mackenzie district in Santa Fe - an area of historic houses. Perfect location for walking trips to the gallery and shopping areas around the cathedral as well as to some first-rate restaurants. And the owner includes free on-street parking! Definitely worth a repeat visit.

Perfectly Located Casita

  • 5 of 5
We were looking for a quaint, reasonably priced place to stay for two nights in Santa Fe, and found what we were looking for in this property! While small, it was perfect for the two of us. It is beautifully appointed with modern kitchenette, bathroom/shower, and comfortable bed. It is decorated in a lovely southwest theme with lots of little added touches that made it so perfect. As far as location, it was within easy walking distance of the square of downtown Santa Fe, close to shops and great restaurants. We rarely had to move our car to get where we wanted to go. In addition, the owner is very gracious and came over to meet us and to make sure we were happy. We would love to stay there again if we are back in the area.

Immaculate and well equipped

  • 5 of 5
I stayed in this lovely (although small) casita for 5 days and would love to stay here again. It was very comfortable and had everything I needed. The owner was available if needed but didn't intrude. The location was within walking distance to the plaza but also to a variety of restaurants and shopping venues away from the Plaza.

Perfect Place for Writing Retreat!!!!

  • 5 of 5
This fully equipped casita, located two blocks from the Plaza and all of the museums is a perfect spot for a romantic getaway or a solitary writing retreat. I had the absolute pleasure of staying here for an entire month as part of a self styled writing retreat. Everything about it is conducive to writing. The casita itself is very comfortable and it has a beautiful private patio which nearly doubles the living space. The place is spotless and the owners are very nice and very very attentive. Nice little touches like flowers and art work abound. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the kitchen had everything I needed to cook meals for myself. When I did not want to cook, I was within walking distant of dozens of restaurants. Best of all was the washer and dryer located in the bathroom. It was great not to have to go to a laundry mat!!! The casita is located on a lovely, historical street with very interesting architecture. I always felt safe as a woman on my own and I would definitely stay here again if I am lucky enough to have the opportunity to return. Top notch! Excellent!! I was very very pleased!

Santa Fe Studio

  • 5 of 5
This tiny adobe studio had everything we needed for a weekend getaway. It was clean and pristine, and cute, with attention to detail. Close to the square and art shops of Santa Fe. I would stay there again, and recommend it to a couple for a romantic get-away. Victoria was a wealth of information on the area, and was always able to be reached for tourist questions, and was very easy to lease from.
