Palmer's Peak is a wonderfully private log cabin with separate additional guest quarters over the garage (we call this the Guest Cottage!) on acreage close in to Boone. Enjoy the quiet and privacy of this cabin, and yet be in Boone or Valle Crucis in just 10 minutes!
This home is set up in such a way that it cozily accommodates 4 people in the Main Cabin with the King on the Main Floor and the loft having two twins, yet it can expand easily to accommodate up to 15 people (with the use of futons and pull out couches). Not only can it provide a sleeping spot for 15 people, it has 3 kitchens, 3 separate living room/den areas, 7 TVs and 2 sets of washer/dryers to help support the cooking and living for all!
Here are how the sleeping arrangements are laid out:
- Master Bedroom on main floor of cabin - King (Sleeps 2)
- Loft has two twin beds (Sleeps 2)
- Queen Bedroom downstairs (Sleeps 2)
- Living Room has Full sized pull out couch by fireplace (Sleeps 2)
- Downstairs Den has full sized pull out couch (Sleeps 2)
- Guest Cottage has Queen Log Bed (Sleeps 2)
- Guest Cottage Living Area has full sized log futon (Sleeps 2)
- Guest Cottage Living Area has single sized log futon (Sleeps 1)
Bathrooms:
- Main floor in Cabin has large Master bath with jacuzzi tub and separate shower
- Loft level in Cabin has full bathroom with a shower
- Lower level in Cabin has full bathroom with tub shower
- Guest Cottage has full bathroom with jacuzzi tub and separate shower
Both the Main Cabin and the Guest Cottage have wood burning fireplaces providing the warm ambiance of the mountain log cabin. If you don't want to bring your own wood, feel free to select that as an option when you are making your reservation, and we will have wood delivered to the property for your stay.
This home provides a variety of VCR tapes, DVDs and Wii Games for use by the guests. There is a flat screen TV in the great room, and TVs in the master bedroom, master bathroom (for a DVD), in the loft, in the downstairs Den, in the Guest Cottage, and there is one available downstairs to temporarily move outside by the Hot Tub or Gazebo, so you don't have to miss the great game just because you want to enjoy the beautiful mountain air or the Hot Tub!
Palmer's Peak Log Cabin is conveniently located in the High Country area of North Carolina near Boone, Blowing Rock, Grandfather Mountain, Valle Crucis, Sugar Mountain, Appalachian Ski Mountain, Beech Mountain Resort, Hawksnest Resort, and Tweetsie Railroad.
