Photos and Description of the Boston vacation apartment rental
Studio apartment with a private full bathroom sleeps up to 4 people

The large studio is about 450 square feet or 42 meters in a South End Brownstone built around 1860. The apartment home features all new stainless full size appliances, television, stereo, dvd player, wireless internet, all kitchen utensils, pots, dishes, towels, sheets and blankets.

In the apartment there is a queen size Murphey bed that easily pulls down from the wall. This bed is extremely comfortable. The sofa opens up to a full size bed. I can also supply a twin size blow up mattress.

In the apartment is one large closet with lots of room for longer stays. The good size bathroom features a combination bath tub/shower, toilet and sink.

In the building is a coin operated washer/dryer and just next door is a laundromat where clothes can be left in the morning and picked up later in the day.

Just off the apartment is a small private deck with a table and 4 chairs. A perfect place for coffee in the morning and sun in the afternoon.

The apartment is located in Boston's fashionable South End neighborhood which is very close to the Prudential Center, Copley Square and Copley Place. All about a 15 minute or less walk. The South End is known to have Boston's finest restaurants, cafes and casual restaurants.

The walk to the nearest T (subway) station is 10 minutes down West Newton Street. The subway station there is Prudential on the Green line. The walk to the Back Bay Station(Orange line and Amtrak) is also about 10 minutes.

From the apartment you can also stroll over to Newbury Street which is filled with unique stores and restaurants.

  • The bathroom is on the large size! The hot water shows up quite rapidly and there is always plenty of hot water! The towels are always fairly new as i replace them often.

  • The queen size Murphy bed easily pulls down from the wall. After sleeping you would make up your bed and the bed goes up into the wall. The queen size mattress is very comfortable. The sofa opens up to a full size bed. I can also provide a twin size blow up mattress.

Notes: There is a small private deck reached from the apartment that has nice garden views and the view of an old church. see pics! The apartment is on the street level but in back of the building where the apartment is located about 10 feet above the ground. This apartment faces south and gets lots of direct sunlight. You can see pictures of the view from the windows.

The apartment is great. Its location makes easy to get to know many places in downtown Boston. There is no need to have a car. It has also restaurants and small shops that makes your life easy. We got the keys on time, the unit was clean and ready to use. All the appliances, linens and towels necessary are there.
Recommended for:  Girls Getaway, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children

comfortable apartment in interesting area

Positive: Fairly large, nicely furnished and well equipped, good bed. Reasonably quiet and safe but Intersting area with several nearby 7 to11's (the chinese one is the best) and lots of restaurants. Pleasant 10 minute walk to Silverline bus for South station (transport hub). Liquor store a few blocks up the road. Very good sandwich stop next to bus stop.
Negative: steep steps to house entrance followed by two flights of steep stairs, could not work out how TV etc worked. Air conditioning was only just adequate in September. No good supermarket nearby. Bed had to be wedged with suitcase to stop it sliding.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing

Great location!

This efficiency is small, but located near so many great spots. Many restaurants, a couple of really great bakeries for fresh breakfast within walking distance (try Wheat!), two metro lines within about half a mile. The Parish Cafe at Tremont and Mass. Ave. is great for dinner and drinks. The neighborhood is hip and diverse--there's a pedicab HQ right around the corner, and a bike-share program in front of the public library across the street. Also, the Upper Crust makes good pizza--right across the street. My wife and I were able to stay there with our two teen-aged kids. It was a little tight, but not too bad. For two or three people, would not be bad at all. The price is a tad steep compared to some of the hotel options, but the location is really hard to beat.

Everything was perfect!

A colleague and myself stayed in this rental for 6 days while attending a conference at Hynes Convention Center. Nothing could have made our experience better! The apartment is in an excellent location close to everything. The apartment is furnished with everything you could ever need. The size was perfect for 2 people but could easily be comfortable for 4. We really enjoyed spending time on the deck during nice weather. There is an amazing pizza place across the street, a great neighborhood bar/restaurant on the corner, a neighborhood grocery and wine shop 1 block over. The neighborhood is beautiful and great to walk through. The closest T stop is only a 12 minute walk away. I highly recommend this rental and if ever in Boston, I will definitely stay here again. Amazing value, cheaper than hotels with better amenities. Thanks Glenn!
