Golf information......:
The local courses have some of the most stunning views in Andalucia. The nearest is Alhaurin, about 5 minutes away. Designed by Seve Ballasteros, a very entertaining course, suitable for most golfers. La Cala and Santana are about 30 minutes away. Santana is a beautiful new course, set amongst olive and avocado trees and is easily walkable. Most of the courses have good restaurants. Lauro golf is about 10 minutes away. Los Caracolillos course at Lauro Golf is a parkland course, set in a rural area only 12 km from Malaga airport. With views of mountains to the north and the Mediterranean to the south, the course adjoins the protected forest area of the Sierra de Mijas.The clubhouse is interesting as it is a 200 year old Spanish Cortijo that has been restored to house a restaurant, bar, pro shop, and offices, all surrounding a lovely Spanish patio, a lovely spot for after the game.

Within 2 to 3 hours drive you can be hurtling down the slopes of the highest mountains in Spain. A fascinating break from the drudgery of the pool or golf course! Highly recommended.
