Golf Villas E-2 at Mauna Lani
Unit E-2 is a luxury condo located on the ground floor of a tranquil and lushly landscaped gated community. It is immaculately clean and well appointed, ready to become your home away from home. The open plan living area leads to a spacious lanai and manicured lawn overlooking the 10th fairway of the famous Mauna Lani South Course; a perfect place for children to play and for adults to relax. It is a short walk to the private Owners Beach Club with tranquil water and some of the best snorkeling on the island. We provide free access to the Owners Beach Club and discounts on golf at the Mauna Lani courses. This is a fantastic home base for all the adventures the Big Island has to offer.
Decorated in Island Style, this new construction has a gourmet kitchen as well as a gas grill and wet bar on the lanai. There are granite counter surfaces throughout and the floors are comfortable carpet and clean tile. Enjoy high quality linens and plush towels in an environment that is designed to give you a spa feel.
The kitchen is complete with upgraded appliances and is fully equipped for all your cooking needs. The dining area seats 4 with extra seating at the kitchen bar counter. Flat screen TV’s are found in the living area and the master suite. An i-pod docking stereo, cable TV, hi speed Wi-Fi internet and telephone are all included.
The master suite is its own retreat. It has a cool and open feel with a recessed tray ceiling and fan, a walk-in closet and an attached bath. The master bath has a soaking tub, double sinks and a separate glass enclosed shower. The second bedroom is also very comfortable with a queen bed and adjacent full bath. In the private garage, four beach mats, towels, chairs, an umbrella and cooler are provided; all you need for a relaxed day at the beach.
A short walk away you will find the Golf Villa’s lovely pool and spa and a well-equipped exercise facility. The Golf Villas low density and quiet friendly atmosphere assure for a calm, relaxing holiday.
Mauna Lani is one of the world’s truly great resort communities with stunning beaches, world class golf courses, luxury spas, fine dining and shopping. All these amenities, as well as some of the islands treasured historical sites are an easy walk or short drive away.

This end of the island is not crowded, no 'volog', and has lovely evening breezes. There is a nice market near by and some great places to eat. We feel as if we have the best of the unspoiled tropics and all the luxury we could want.
It is very easy to get around since everything is so close. If you want to spend the whole time at the beach or the pool, you will have no trouble. You can go on a sunset cruise from the Owners Beach, learn to scuba or paddle board right within a short walk from Golf Villas. Hey, and did we mention the golf?
On the other hand, if you like to explore, there are some great destinations; the volcano, Mauna Kea Observatory, Hilo's open air markets, the Green Sand Beach, Rainbow Falls and so much more that the Big Island has to offer.
This was my 1st experience with a VRBO and we were thrilled about what a great trip we had. It was so much better for us than staying at a typical resort. The owners anticipated all our needs and provided great customer service before, during and after our stay. We enjoyed the Pineapple Fruit basket. We enjoyed our trip to the owners beach the afternoon of our arrival, loved spending 7 hours at the villa and pool with our grandson while son and daughter-in-law when on a ATV tour,enjoyed swimming with the turtles 2 days at Hapuna, swimming with the Dolphins, Star Gazing, going to Rainbow Falls, Greenwell Farms and the National Volcano Observatory. I wish I had realized that the black sand beach was so close. My only advice is if you are over 65 years of age that you don't try going off by yourself boogie boarding in the rough surf because it looked like so much fun when your son was doing it. I ended up breaking my shoulder on our last afternoon. I must say that the lifeguard at Hapuna Bay was very caring.
This was a solid deal. The place was really well done, quality furniture and really well equipped kitchen, a cut above flimsy furniture and bare bones kitchens of some spots. The owner was supportive and in communication as needed, and I found the quick return of our deposit a classy move. Owner's beach area is really close and a great option. We stayed north of Kona the whole time to avoid the congestion and really had a great time taking short trips to Hapuna or going further afield like Hawi or Waimea. Gear in the garage for beachgoing was perfect so we didn't have to rent ourselves. The beach is a short drive--we had a four year old that would have made the short distance too much of a walk. So yes we had to load up the kids and car for a 2 minute drive but parking was always available.
This was our home away from Home, it was very clean, cheerful, and the instructions for all aspects relating to the condo were right on the mark.The kitchen was the best equipped VRBO I have ever used and the owners were great to deal with. I would have to be having an extremely bad day to be critical of the condo and our stay there.
I would recomend this condo for families with young or adult children, two couples, golfers or beach sitters. The owners beach, and black sand beach are within 2mins driving or 10-15 mins walking, the fitness room, pool, hot tub 100 feet. The barbecue on the lanai was top quality, a pleasur to use. We used one tank of propane but there was a second tank and when I emailed the owners the other tank was filled within 2 or 3 days. Finally the fruit in the fruit basket was excellent, we had somosa's with fresh squeezed orange juice.
The moment we stepped in the door we felt like we were "home". Our first impression was WOW! We were so impressed with the beauty and ambiance of the condo as walked through, everything sparkled and showed such a pride of ownership..The thoughtfulness and care that the owners have given to each detail to ensure our vacation was the best it could be, is completely overwhelming. The kitchen is superbly stocked for any gourmet cook, the garage holds all the beach toys, boogie boards, towels, chairs, umbrellas or beach accessories you could ever possibly need. The bed was luxuriously comfortable which provided much needed long restful nights.. the tastefully decorated furnishings added to the overall pampered comfort. The owners treated us as friends not just as guests from the moment we first contacted them, it meant the world to us. Mahalo!
The pool is gorgeous, with a wonderful bubbly hot tub, the grounds are stunning with all kinds of beautiful vegetation and flowers. We loved the owners beach, it was our perfect paradise haven, a signature Hawaiian beach. We especially loved the limited access and the small number of people who frequent it...it offered some of the best snorkeling on the island, with a wonderful restaurant for lunch or dinner as our toes practically wriggled in the sand as we ate..everyone was exceptionally kind and hospitable.
We had an absolutely perfect experience and each day on the island was filled with fun, adventure, beautiful beaches with so much to do..coming home each night to our little piece of paradise for a week, ended each day with a smile on our faces..our week here was not nearly long enough.. we will be back and eagerly look forward to it already!

We had a wonderful experience staying in this condo for our honeymoon and first ever trip to Hawaii! Getting to the condo from the airport was a breeze, the owners' directions were perfect and it was nice to have all the guidelines and great suggestions laid out in advance. The semi-private owner's beach is beautiful, a great place to spend the day relaxing and doing some low-key snorkeling for kids and beginners. The condo itself is spotless and very well-stocked, we cooked most of our own meals and it was like being in my own kitchen!
I would (and do) recommend this property to anyone who asks about our stay in Hawaii, there is not one negative thing we can think of.
If you do choose to vacation here, we highly suggest Manini'owali Beach (Kua Bay) for boogie boarding and general beauty, it's very easy to get to from the condo (10ish miles away), and we saw several rays there. There is also a black sand beach within a mile that's not very well known as far as we could tell, the staff at the owner's beach restaurant told us about it. And finally, our ride with Atlantis Submarines in Kona was spectacular, highly recommended.
This was our first visit back to the Big Island in 20 years. We stayed for two weeks at this condo and were very sorry to leave at the end of our stay. Could have stayed there much longer! It was spacious, immaculately clean, beautifully decorated and equipped and had every possible amenity one could possibly wish for. Both the owners and property managers were incredibly friendly, welcoming, responsive and awesome to deal with. The Mauna Lani Resort was beautiful - quiet, private, with many amenities and beautifully landscaped. The pool area at the Golf Villas was beautiful, and the parking card access to Makaiwa (owner's) beach was also very welcome. All in all it was a fabulous stay!
