The Old Hall: The Old Hall is a fine period Victorian Country House. Recently refurbished and centrally heated, it is fully equipped and self-contained, comfortably accommodating up to 14 people. The house retains many period features including working shutters, fine corniced ceilings and a full size snooker table; all combine to create an authentic period atmosphere. General information: Crackenthorpe Hall as a whole, is set in 10 acres of lawned and wooded grounds, with approx 2 miles private river fishing. You can use the grounds and fly fishing can be arranged on the adjacent river Eden. Golf course 2 miles. The Ancient town of Appleby(2 miles) has Golf, Swimming pool, Castle, Churches, Inns, Shops, etc. The Lake District & Yorkshire Dales are within easy reach, with many attractions and activities nearby. Keswick 30 mins. York & Harrogate 90 Mins. Edinburgh and Manchester approx 2 hrs drive.
