The Old Manor:
The original Manor dated from the 11th Century, however the present structure is 1685. Recently refurbished and centrally heated, it is now fully equipped and self-contained, comfortably accommodating up to 12 people. Once home to King Henry VI, the Manor with it's grounds, provides an authentic atmosphere which befits a Lord of the Manor. Enjoy the house for a weekend, for holidays or corporate use. The house retains many period features including working shutters, fine corniced ceilings and a full size snooker table; all combine to create an authentic period atmosphere. Crackenthorpe Hall as a whole, is set in 10 acres of lawned and wooded grounds, with approx 2 miles private river fishing. You can use the grounds and fly fishing can be arranged on the adjacent river Eden. Golf course 2 miles. The Ancient town of Appleby(2 miles) has Golf, Swimming pool, Castle, Churches, Inns, Shops, etc. The Lake District & Yorkshire Dales are within easy reach, with many attractions and activities nearby. Keswick 30 mins. York & Harrogate 90 Mins. Edinburgh and Manchester approx 2 hrs drive.
