Disappointed
I was pretty disappointed with our experience from the very first hour after I booked the house. I received an off-putting email making me feel like a criminal with so many rules (understandable) and negative scolding, chastising remarks (never have I ever seen anything like this - and we use VRBO several times a year). I considered canceling right then. I received more similar emails leading up to the trip, and although the Las Vegas market must be tricky for owners, this was honestly so over the top.
Upon arrival, I was disappointed in the state of the home. The floor felt dirty when walking on it, there were beds without sheets or blankets, several broken items and most notably the hot tub (which was a HUGE selling point for us) wasn’t working correctly. I did NOT want to reach out to the owner based on the communication by email, as I didn’t want to be scolded.
I will also say that the neighborhood felt less sage than I would have liked, though everything ended up fine.
