Condo, 1 Bedroom + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 2-4)

Ultimate Ski in/ski out Slopeside Mountain View

You are welcome to share our convenient, family-owned condo at the base of the mountain just seconds from the Zephyr Chair Lift. It’s only moments from picking up your skis in the locker room, walking out the back door past the hot tubs, locking on your skis and a three second ski down the access slope to the chair lift. None of the hassle of tromping on and off buses with your skis, poles and boots, your significant other’s skis, boots and poles, kids’ skis boots and poles, slogging and slipping through parking lots, wondering when or if you’re ever going to get to the lift. It is truly “the way you dreamed it would be someday”. It is ski luxury!! Exactly what is needed for a ski vacation.

If you want to avoid the fast food menus at the crowded ski lodges, just ski down the slopes and ease into your condo. Enjoy lunch on your fourth floor balcony with live entertainment as you watch the skiers come down Hughes. It’s convenient, private and features all the amenities of home. The kitchen is stocked with basic food prep items, the beds are upgraded with luxury linens and the towels in the bath are super plush.

Enjoy the added convenience of underground parking along with free shuttle service to the town of Winter Park or the shopping center in Frasier.

We hope to be of service to you in your quest for the ultimate ski vacation at the Baker Family condo.

Great stay in a great condo

  • 5 of 5

The condo is clean and comfortable with all the amenities just as described in the ad and in the other reviews. We had everything we needed in the kitchen to cook (and clean). The location is amazing. It was so easy to get on/off the slopes - the storage lockers are just inside the doors leading to the slopes and, once outside, it is just steps to the ski hill and then seconds to the lift. That convenience alone made it well worth the extra cost to stay in the “Slopeside” building. It’s a quick walk to the village where there is a nice variety of restaurants. The underground parking made it easy to move stuff between the car and the condo – especially with the valet carts and elevator close by.

I’ve only rented condos a few times so I was worried about what I would really get in the end. In this case, I didn’t need to worry at all. Bruce was great to work with – he answered all my emails promptly and thoroughly, and the entire rental process was handled professionally. I felt comfortable working with him right from the start (which I can’t say for some other places I inquired about).

I would definitely rent this condo again and hope to be back next year. :)

Owner's Response: I am most appreciative or RM's evaluation of my condo and the positive process RM experienced in our working relationship. As stated in this review, RM was cautious about the rental process because of the vulnerability of the guest's position in the rental process. My view is that the prospective guest is deserving of honesty and straightforward communication to all questions and concerns because we are partners in making a family ski vacation a memorable event that will not only be enjoyed for the moment but the personal activities and memories will be cherished and reflected upon time and again with family members and friends. My condo, with its premier location, cleanliness, quality amenities and conveniences allows the family to have the benefits of using the valuable ski vacation time to their best advantage. A vacation is an investment of precious family time and money. That's why RM has only rented a condo "very few" times and states that the trust was not there when communicating with "other places". I answer all questions and concerns, even difficult ones, in a straightforward and honest manner. RM is correct when alluding to the fact that there is a significant amount of trust required in making a rental decision. Vulnerability is certainly there and there is no definite way to know if the place will be clean, have top line amenities, a comfortable atmosphere and that it's location on the mountain will be as advertised. That's why it's so important that my Reviews all comment positively on the same issues that makes the vacation an unforgetable experience that will become part of the family's conversation and memories for years to come. Of course, I am quite pleased that RM states the "cost benefit ratio" of quality and convenience my condo provides which is more time on the slopes instead of waiting in line for a table in a crowded lodge or lugging ski gear around. I do everything I can to provide the necessary elements for guests to experience what RM succinctly states (as others have), "A Great Stay in a Great Condo". Other important "conveniences" RM discusses, which I must confess I take for granted, are the underground parking garage, private locker room, a couple of seconds access to the Zephyr Lift and the increased time these conveniences allow for family togetherness and time on the slopes actually building memories and enjoyment. RM says a return visit is planned for next season!! A great compliment!!!

Our second stay...just as great as the first

  • 5 of 5

Our family stayed here last year, and came back again this year knowing we'd have another great experience. Bruce is so easy to work with, and very prompt with replies to any questions we had (not many, as he is very thorough and professional with his responses). The condo was just as clean and welcoming as it was last year, and we would definitely stay here again for any future Winter Park trips. Zephyr Mountain Lodge is very convenient for our family. The ski in/ski out feature is definitely a bonus with small kids. Our kids love ski school, and being close to the base saved so much time in the morning. It was great not having to rush to get out the door to catch a shuttle or park in a parking lot and walk. We also loved being so close to "home" after skiing...not having to carry our skis (and eventually the kids' skis) back to a car or shuttle is so convenient. Bruce, thanks again for helping to make our vacation a great one!

Owner's Response: This is indeed a very complimentary review, one that I am very proud of. Amy was a guest last year and states that she returned this year because of the positive experience she and her family enjoyed last year. This is the essence of a family vacation, to have all members of the family enjoy such a fulfilling time it becomes part of the family's memory that can be recaptured and reminisced time and again. The vacation itself should be of such pleasure that remembering becomes part of the secret family communication. Amy credits me with "promptness" in responding to her questions but it is more than that, It is carefully listening to her concerns as the needs of her family are expressed and answering these concerns in detail. If the question is based on upsetting experiences from the past like lugging skis and polls a never ending distance to the ski lift or ski school that never seems to end I am able to reassure the prospective guest of the ideal location of my condo right on the mountain. With the private locker room there is no need to experience the hassle of lugging skis. They don't have to hunt for a crowded ski lodge to try to find room to put on boots. There is a private locker and locker room for them and the back door leads right around the hot tubs to the slope leading to the mountain's primary ski lift. This would not be enough to formulate cherished memories because it takes more than just physical location. As Amy says, "the condo is clean and welcoming". It's not a cleaning done quickly, it was cleaned with respect for the guest. The high quality of the personal amenities were also purchased with respect for the guests' use and enjoyment. An example is the hot tub towels which are not the usual 18 by 30 inch loose weave. They are of size and quality! When you rent my condo you are rewarded with a package that of owner service and support, an excellent location, functional kitchen and a place with the convenience of home. "Like home" is the association Amy presents and it is a goal I and my cleaning service strives to provide. With the luxury of our amenities, the physical location of the condo on the mountain which is also part of the epicenter of the Resort, this condo provides a vacation life style which the family will relish and reminisce with each other and friends for years to come. Amy admits this is her second year in my condo. Owner's Warning: Please understand this condo can be an addictive experience!!

Owner is most gracious, informative, accommodating, fair, and easy to work with!

  • 5 of 5

We were unable to rent this condo due to unforeseen circumstances, HOWEVER, I'm writing a review to express my gratitude and appreciation for the owner's quick responses to my inquiries, willingness to accommodate our requests, professionalism, friendliness, and great price! My family has stayed at the Zephyr property in the past and it truly is a great location! Someday, when we are finally able to manage a trip to the mountains, we will definitely check into this place first! Thank you, Mr. B., so very much!

Owner's Response: I sincerely appreciate all of my previous (and future) guests who take their valuable time to write a review but this is the first time I have had the opportunity and pleasure to respond to a prospective guest's evaluation of the rental process that didn't work out. This attempted rental happened entirely on one afternoon. "Lone Tree, C" wanted very much to have a family vacation and with quick and diligent attention to detail I thought this guest and I were going to be able to satisfactorally complete the plan. Unfortunately circumstances interfered, which happens from time to time. "Lone Tree's" insights into the communication process indicate what can be accomplished when honest communication occurs in a personal and respectful manner rather than in the "scripted, one size fits all" approach of a resort's commission oriented associates. I am appreciative of requests for information regarding my condo and although it is a business relationship I am always honest, understanding of the issues and questions presented and try to answer in a professional, gracious manner. Every request involves different complexities and with understanding and honest answers a positive relationship emerges. It's really the beginning of my support for the family's plans of making an experience for themselves that will be remembered and talked about for years. Their experiences are associated with the support they feel by staying in a prime location on the mountain, the quality of the amenities I provide, and my willingness to answer their questions and provide the information needed to have the type of family vacation we all dream about. My feeling is that the top of the line amenities, cleanliness of my condo, and its prime location on the mountain provides the feeling of being taken care of. This Luxury and location makes for a convenient vacation life style where more time is spent on the slopes in shared, joyous activity which is the essence of the vacations life style we all need to "recreate" ourselves and spend time in shared, pleasureable activity with those we care most about. My position as owner of the condo is to meet the expectations of my guests and hopefully exceed their expectations. In a way, when guests talk about their vacation experiences my condo and my part in it will be associated with those memories, so be careful. My owner's warning is that this condo can be an addictive experience. "Lone Tree" plans to try again with better luck!!

Wonderful ski in/ski out resort!

  • 5 of 5

We had an absolutely wonderful family vacation! The condo was wonderful! Exactly as described! It was clean and well stocked! Great location where we could walk out the door of the ski lockers, put on our skis, and take off! The condo was stocked with plush towels, amenities in the bathroom including toothpaste, shampoo, and conditioner, and even a goodie basket of snacks on the table! There was extra storage space in the living area where my children could have their own closet as well. It was exactly what we needed-quiet, comfortable beds, cozy fireplace, and even an infrared grill to cook at home!

The owner was super helpful and always responded very quickly to all communication! The payment plan helped so much! He was even able to give us all kinds of tips about the trails, ski lifts, and restaurants! Will definitely stay again when planning another ski trip!

Owner's Response: Kathy's first statement is "Wonderful"!! Then she states the condo was "exactly as described" and follows with positive comments regarding the premier location, the stocked kitchen for family vacationers, the cleanliness and the"good goods" of amenities. What she is responding to is the quality associated with the physical being of the entire condo. It represents to her that she is appreciated and supported by the thoughtfulness and caretaking provided to make her family vacation memorable, with the great memories that return to one's thoughts again and again. This is the type of feeling I strive to present, the feeling that my guests are part of an "extended family". That's why I provide plush towels, a spotlessly clean unit and the infrared grill on the balcony. These physical factors, plus the premier location, work in tandem to support the vacationer in being able to truly relax and allow the interaction to come forth and make the lasting memories we all look forward to when we vacation. There are other factors she states that are tremendously important. She states I was "super helpful". She means I treated her like a person rather than a "commission". I take time to help the guest understand the complexity of the different trails, special aspects of the different restaurants, "insider information" related to the ski rental shops and other snow sport activities. Yes, it takes time but the personal investment I make working out an installment plan that fits the individual rather than the "pay now" scripted approach lets the person know I am a partner in what they want to accomplish. That's why I take the time to discuss the various aspects of the ski trails as related to the self-assessed levels of ski competency. There is nothing more demoralizing than wasting hours or days trying to figure out the best ski trails instead of experiencing the joy of a mutual activity with family and creating a shared experience to replay in conversations with loved ones time and again. I do my best to provide those elements that make the family condo I rent part of the heart of the vacation. That's why Kathy wants to bring her family back again. My goal is to meet my guest's expectations and hopefully exceed them and it is a personal reward when I succeed. However, as the owner I must caution you that this premier Slopeside Condo can be an addictive experience. Be cautious when you select my condo.

Another Great Stay Slopeside

Owner's Response: On first reading one wonders what the motivation is behind this enthusiastic, energetic and somewhat cryptic review. Frank speaks of his personal experiences this year being better than last year. This substantiates the fact that he has vacationed in this condo previously and then he adds the "kicker" that he has already secured a reservation for next as stated by Jennifer M. What are the unstated elements and previous experiences for such a dramatic and concrete review? Without a doubt, this is the way one hopes one feels about a ski vacation!! When all the expenses of travel and ski package rentals are included in the assessment it takes a "great location and top of the line amenities" to make it truly worthwhile. I do everything I can to support the experience of my guests. I don't use the term "guest" in the sales and marketing manner of trying to formulate a term that sounds better than, "paying customer". All those who contact me in their search for a place to have a relaxing and meaningful experience with family or "intimate other" during their valuable vacation time are treated like a guest because that is the hallmark of true communication. They are invested in finding a place where they will experience intimacy and closeness with meaningful others and be able to form memories that can be talked about and "re-enjoyed" many times over. That's the experience I seek to provide and I am able to share in that experience by giving honest information in the process of decision making with the prospective guest. I think my honest working relationship with the guest initiates the feelings of trust and openness that is then reinforced by my condo's premier location on the mountain and the personal amenities I provide. It's this satisfaction and confidence in the decision they've made which helps the family relax, connect with, and enjoy each other. The excitement of enjoyed and shared meaningful experiences becomes the dynamic and no one has to focus on the IPhone except to inform friends "back home" about the great time they're having. This is what the guest is seeking on a family vacation and it is a privilige to be a part of the process. It is my hope to always meet the guest's expectations and hopefully to exceed them. This is satisfaction and Frank has experienced it. Owner's warning: Once you stay in Slopeside nothing else will do. This condo can be an addictive experience.

Great Location & Condo

  • 5 of 5

Totally impressed again with this condo. Stayed last year, this year, and already booked for next year. The amenities where just what I expected & the unit was clean & cozy. Love the layout, plush towels, fireplace, comfy bed, and quietness. Everything you need is there to enjoy a meal in or a meal out. The owner is great to work with. Very attentive to detail & always available via phone, email, or text. The location & view are exceptional & I would recommend this condo to everyone.

Owner's Response: In this succinct, no extra words review, Jennifer has evaluated the essence of what a family ski vacation shoud be. She is enthusiastic about her experience in my condo for the past two years and is presently booked for the coming year. Her enthusiasm is based on facts. The ski in/ski out location right on the mountain, the standard amenities of top of the line mattresses on the queen size bed and pull out couch, flat screen TV, pleasant fireplace and well stocked kitchen which allows her to make family favorite meals, grill on the infrared grill or enjoy the convience of walking out the front door to select one of the top restaurnats in the Resort. I't the way a ski vacation should be. This is one aspect of her "layout", the other is the easy access to the Zephyr Express Lift and the thoughtfulness demonstrated by the cleanliness, coziness and extra things like grab bars in the shower and the "goodie welcome basket". The amenities are are "good goods", the towels in the bathroom and the "spa" towels which are quality in plushness and size which is well beyond the usual 18 by 30 inche spa towel. Jennifer is well aware of quality and knows the essence of quality which is beyond the physical location and amenities. It also includes the communication with me where trust can develop. I don't function on an impersonal preformulated speech when communicating with a prospective guest as is common with rental companies. I consider it a privilege to work with the guest in formulation of a personal installment plan or to provide personal knowledge of restaurants, ski rental places and other exciting things to do in the area like snowmobilling or riding in a sled behind huskies. What Jen. is experiencing in her stating, "Totally Impressed" is the ski vacation lifestyle of quality in convenience of location, luxury, cleanliness and trust in communication with me as we work together to make the ski vacation everything it should be. My goal is to meet the expectations of my guests and hopefully to exceed their expectations. As you can assess, I have succeeded in doing this because Jennifer has already had two years of honest luxury and has already sent a downpayment for the third year. She has read my disclaimer to, "beware of this condo because it can be an addictive experience" but Jeniffer knows what she wants and when she has experienced it she secures her reservation even a year in advance.
