Good value in good neighborhood
We had a very nice week’s stay in Cusco based in this apartment. It’s about a 30-minute walk from the Plaza de Armas; most of the time we walked it in the pleasant Cusco weather; when we were tired coming back, a taxi was always easy to find and cost only 3-5 soles (US$1.00-$1.60).
When we arrived, the caretaker’s wife met us at the airport as promised without a hitch. The caretaker is also in the tour business, so we booked a two-day Sacred Valley tour through him as well.
The apartment is a fourth-floor walkup in a modern building in its own compound with a gate keeper, and was clean with a nice washer/dryer and kitchen; utensils, however, are very sparse, i.e., only one very flimsy dull knife for cutting anything. Dining area and living room were more than adequate for two people. The two bedrooms are both bright and sunny during the day. At night, Cusco gets a bit chilly, but with the three space heaters we were able to keep the temperature very comfortable. Hot water was always very hot, and we always had plenty. Loud neighbor only one night, apparently drunk and convinced he was a singer. Wifi worked exceptionally well without a glitch.
Owner was very responsive via email, so we had a good feeling that we would be taken care of well, and we were. Security deposit refund was very prompt via PayPal. This apartment is a good value and you’ll be pleased.

Owner's Response: Thank you for this nice review. More effective knives are now in the kitchen. I am very concerned about the comfort of my apartment. Important to be stressfree during such a journey full of discoveries.
