Great home-away-from-home!

We have stayed at the Aina Nalu several times before, but this time we decided to rent from a private owner. We are so glad we did! This beautiful one-bedroom condo was furnished with everything you will need for a wonderful, relaxing, and laid-back vacation.
The property is gorgeous and is surrounded by lush greenery. Their pools have plenty of comfortable seating (including 5 covered cabanas), they are clean, and they are the perfect temperature. The location of the condo could not be better: centered a block behind Front Street, all of the restaurants, shops and even a few beaches are within walking distance. We chose to rent the cruiser bicycles as well and they were perfect for a few scenic rides. Many of the excursions you may choose to take will leave from Lahaina Harbor or the Mala Wharf which are both within a mile or so from the condo.
The unit itself was a great size for 2-3 people. It was clean and well-maintained - the pictures give you a good idea of what your stay will be like. The owners even provide an ice-chest, which was so useful for picnics on the beach, or taking along on your drive to Hana (a must-do if you are up for an all day adventure).
We will definitely be returning here and have recommended this property to several friends and family members. If you are looking to have a vacation free from stress and hundreds of people surrounding you, stay here! It almost makes you feel like a local.
Oh yes, and lets not forget about the food. If you are fish-fans the Paia Fish Market was far and away the best fish we have ever eaten. It is a great lunch spot about 30 minutes from the property. Go here on you way from the airport AND on your way back... heck I would even go a few times in between. Also, on Front Street, Kimo's was our favorite for a nice dinner and Cool Cat Cafe has great burgers and root-beer floats. Lastly, you must try the shave-ice! Ululani's Shave Ice has many locations and it is such a refreshing treat. It is not like a snow-cone at all, it is more like a creamy snow ball made from the finest ice shavings and covered with authentic flavors. My favorite: Sunset (mango, tropical orange, and guava) with coconut ice-cream on the bottom...yummm.
