You will love your get-a-way in our cozy cottage with views of Shawano Lake. This isn't roughing it in some old fishing shack, but a comfortable year round home. This can be your base camp for day trips or a place to kick back and relax. A large deck with patio table is a great place for outdoor dining. An adjacent patio is complete with seating and a clay chimenea to enjoy a mesmerizing fire after dark. Or gather around the counter in the large kitchen and catch up on the days activities. Here your vacation can be as active or relaxing as you choose.

We are not on the water, but there are boat landings within a mile in either direction. Several marinas rent fishing boats, pontoon boat and jet skis. The Shawano County Park boasts a very nice swimming beach, play areas, and picnic sites, and it is within five miles.

We are within 35 mile of the Green Bay Packers practice field, Lambeau Field and the Packer Hall of Fame.

Mountain Bay State Recreation Trail: The Mountain-Bay trail is a state recreation trail that is approximately 1 mile away. Great for bicycles in summer and snowmobiles in winter. This trail has been developed on an abandoned rail bed. Thus it has a level surface and a gradual grade for easy riding through rural scenery.

NFL Green Bay Packer football: Shawano is located 35 miles west of Green Bay Packer Hall of Fame, Lambeau Field, the Hutson sports complex including the practice field. A very easy drive for in season activities and off season leisurely viewing.

Other Day Trips: Wausau and the gateway to the north are right down the road, Rib Mountain State Park is approximately a one hour drive to the west.

UWGB is about a half hour drive to the East. As well as everything the City of Green Bay has to offer.

Nicolet National Forest and other recreational areas are within a one hour day trip to the Northeast.

Wolf River Rafting is featured on the Menominee Reservations and in Langlade county to the north of Shawano. Suitable for all levels. Please ask for more details when making your inquiry.

Golf: There are several courses nearby.

Shawano is located approximately 35 miles west of Lambeau field on Hwy 29 in Central Wisconsin. The crossroad is North of Clintonville and the Clover Leaf Lakes area on Hwy 22. There are many smaller lakes, rivers and streams in the area.

It is west of Wausau in Cental Wisconsin on Hwy 29. Wausau features the Wisconsin River and the Granite peak Ski Area.

It is on the Mountain Bay state recreation trail. This is popular for biking and hiking in the summer months.

My family and I stayed at this cottage for three nights in August. Not only is the location in a beautiful private are surrounded by trees and yet close to town and any store, gas station or restaurant you need.The patio and back yard are very nice and private. You feel like you're in the North woods.Shawano County park is about one mile down the street and they have a nice sandy beach there. We had a great time at my parents church picnic which was at the park.
The inside of the cottage is nice and spacious. It's supplied with everything you need. the decor is so nice and you feel very mush at home there.We would highly recommend this cottage and would return for a future vacation.The owner runs things very professionally and communicates well. We didn't need to buy anything except food and drinks.
We brought along our two children and a family friend. We had plenty of room during our stay.
Thanks for a great vacation!!!!

Great place to stay

This cute cottage is as described. Had a great time when we stayed at this location. The lake was gorgeous. A good time was had by all in the party. Jet skis are way cool lots of fun on this lake. Close by and no trailer to haul. Had fun watching the squirrels in the neighbors trees too

Shawano Lake Rendeyvous Aug Vacation

The time spent here was wonderful; relaxing & catching up with family & friends. The cottage was all it was described; extremely comfortable, up to date & very clean. The Lake is beautiful, the beach at the county park was clean & we had a great time there with the children. The nearest restaurant was visited and their menu was extensive & the food ordered was quiickly served & very good. The owner were very helpful in arranging our stay. I would highly recomment this property to all my family & friends. As advertised, there are many activites & attractions to entertain all ages.
