Beautiful spacious 1BR on Magazine Street

We stayed here for a long weekend while visiting our daughter at Tulane. The apartment is stunning! An elegant entry hall leads to the formal living room with very tall ceilings, wide wood flooring, and wonderful old moulding and windows. Decorated very very nicely. The kitchen is updated with nice appliances, but is faithful to the historical feel of the place. It is stocked with everything you need to cook. The king bedroom is large and nicely appointed. Large walk-in closet. The bathroom is updated and pleasant. There is a wonderful outdoor terrace overlooking Magazine Street you can access from the living room. Great for coffee, cocktails, even dinner outside. The owners were as friendly as could be and very accommodating. Noise from Magazine Street, which was a concern going in, was actually not noticeable. The unit is just east of Jackson, with easy free street parking close by. Another block or so east and the neighborhood feels a little sketchy compared to the more upscale area between Napoleon and Washington. That said, we felt safe, the price was great, and the unit itself was magical. We will certainly come back!

Owner's Response: John, thank you for your lovely and thorough review. You have a keen eye....during renovation we strove to maintain the character of our 170 year old building while making it function for 21st century inhabitants. We look forward to your next visit. Melissa & Gerry
