Charm and the best fishing in the world
Best beach in the world. Rated Number one in USA!
I enjoyed my stay at Linda's condo in Cape Hatteras. The property is well equipped and has a great view out to the sound. I was lucky enough to be staying at a time when few other vacationers frequent the island, so the complex was virtually empty and therefore very quiet (which I personally appreciated). In high season when travelers flock to the cape, I imagine the situation would be very different. Two drawbacks to mention about the condo are 1) there is no oven 2) the view of the sound is from the bedroom (the main living area looks out to the hallway). Despite these minor quibbles, I enjoyed my time on the island and think the property is a great value for the area and location; I recommend overall for those looking to getaway to one of the most scenically beautiful regions on the eastern seaboard.
Property was totally as described. We would recommend this property to anyone interested - great views, next to the free ferry and the Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum. Charter fishing available next door as well as shopping and Tiki Bar & sandwich shop. Groceries 1 mile away - small but has everything you need without price gouging. Lots of great restaurants nearby - Sonny's, Dinky's, Captains Table, Rusty's - NOT Billfish. Lighthouses to visit. Free ferry to Orcacoke Island next door - drive 16 miles to Ocracoke Village - great day trip and neat little village. Permits available to drive 4X4 onto the beach on both islands.
Very clean and accomodating condo. Pool was great. Office staff was friendly and helpful. People were happy!
Cannot express how beautiful this place is and the view is amazing! Very clean and had everything we needed. We cooked every night in the home and the kitchen was well stocked. Stayed home a few nights and watched tv and lounged around due to the rain and it felt like home :) My fiance proposed to me right outside by the water at sunset we will forever remember this beautiful place and hope to return someday! Owner was very sweet and accommodating!
Overall we were happy with this place. It is very far from most of the more built up areas and the closest grocery store other than a small red/white is 20 miles away. This was very inconvenient. Other than that everything you would need for a nice quiet vacation is right there. The balcony overlooking the sound is beautiful. I did notice an odor as well. Almost like a strong spray to mask some other type of smell. The condo was very clean aside from the shower when we arrived. The bed could also use an upgrade. We really enjoyed the pool. It was very clean and was for the most part pretty quiet. The last two days were pretty windy on the beach so we noticed people coming to the pool who weren't staying at the villas. We did say something to the front desk but nothing was done. They were back the next day. This was a huge group of at least 12 people/kids.
The beach is literally across the street and an easy walk.
There isn't an elevator, so carrying your luggage from the parking lot to the second floor was a bit of a nuisance. The ferry to Ocracoke is right next to this property along with the graveyard of the Atlantic museum which was really cool.
It was our 1st time using a condo and we loved it. Description was very detailed and everything was correct. Loved it
