Skeleton Lake is the fourth largest lake in Muskoka and the largest open body of water in all Muskoka. Enjoy a large lake experience without the boat traffic. It is by far one of the most pristine lakes in Canada, and is often considered the jewel of Muskoka. Many cottagers love this spring-fed lake for its crystal clear water. It is the perfect spot for boating, canoeing, sailing, fishing, snorkeling, swimming, and cliff jumping.
We moved to Muskoka in 1994 and have never looked back. We have enjoyed raising four children in this beautiful part of Canada. We own and operate an interior decorating company in the Village of Rosseau, Ontario.
Dan and Suzanne purchased this cottage in 2010
We've been privileged to live in Muskoka for the past 20 years. We are very familiar with all of the big lakes in Muskoka. Since the majority of our business is based on those lakes, it gave us the opportunity to find the lake best suited for us, the most beautiful one of all, Skeleton Lake, known as the 'jewel of Muskoka'.
It is truly a 'one of a kind' property that offers 4 acres waiting to be explored, 1,200' of shoreline, incredible views, and accommodations for large gatherings.
The multiple cottages and bunkies allow families and/or friends to spend quality time together while enjoying their own private accommodations.
My family had the pleasure of staying at this property with two other families (Total: 8 adults/9 children). We loved everything about this beautiful home/compound especially the lovely main houses, the amazingly comfortable beds, the awesome dock with lily pad and the beach. In fact, we hardly left the property as there was something for everyone here including fishing, swimming, kayaking, canoeing, playing volleyball/badminton or relaxing on a muskoka chair enjoying the magnificent view. Looking forward to returning some day :)

*The Rock, designed by Nick Faldo.
*Muskoka Bay Club, awarded by Golf Digest magazine as Canada's best new golf course 2007.
*Diamond in the Ruff, a 9-hole course with scenery that at times looks like a botanical garden.

- Muskoka Lakes Winery: Working only with fruit native to Muskoka, the winery now boasts a range of award winning wines from dry to dessert. Take part in a Signature Canadian Experience as you follow cranberries on a guided journey from peat bog to delicious wine!
