Great value for a wedding stay!

My little niece was getting married in town. We really enjoyed staying at Sunset Landing. The views were great and its ideal for seeing fall foliage. There was plenty of space and everybody enjoyed having their own room. We got a chilly night and built a fire in the cozy fireplace. The kitchen had everything we needed to make some fun meals, but we dined out a lot in Pewaukee- which had memorable lake side dining options. The house was clean and nicely decorated. Loved the lake house and Pewaukee Lake

We came to spend a week at this awesome lake house and had great weather every day! The huge lawn was great for games and we felt like it was really private, for being on a lake. The kids enjoyed the pier and the swimming off of the pier is quite good. The house is very spacious. Its a large ranch and seems to go forever. We especially liked that the kids had their own rec room that was at the opposite end of the house from the grown ups & living room. The area offered lots of fun restaurants and bars. Our favorite part of the whole trip was dining outside on the lake and being with family at the home and roasting marshmallows around the fire pit. The drive rom Chi-Town is super easy and we will be back!! --Susie B from Winnetka, IL

Great stay and will return!

We recently stayed at this lovely home for a couple days. We stayed here as an alternative to a hotel while we were there for a wedding and have decided that is the way to go. The house had plenty of space and we could not have asked for a better view. The lake is very peaceful and makes for a wonderful setting. We enjoyed the sunrises and sunsets from the dock and the quiet nature of the location. We have every intention of returning for a week in the summer to take the boat out on the lake and enjoy a quiet week away from it all. There is plenty to do there and the location is great. Not too close and not too far away. We will be back!

JUST WHAT WE NEEDED

We hooked up with some friends from Australia who had been touring the country for the last 30 days and spending 3 nights in the same place was wonderful for them. So peaceful and relaxing. The weather was sunny and warm all 4 days, we toured the Harley Museum, had dinner at the Palmer Steak House in Heartland (amazing prime rib) and went to the Celtic Festival in Pewaukee.
The Lake House was well very roomy and spacious. The bedrooms are in the back so you weren't disturbed by anyone in the kitchen or living room. Since I am a professional chef, I would have liked to have a more organized kitchen with better pots and pans, but we made do. I LOVED the fact that the kitchen was well stocked with spices and condiments. That was a great feature!
Reading the last review explained the fish smell in the refrigerator but after I cleaned it, it was better. And the coffee makers (2) were not cleaned. Coffee filters were full of moldy grounds but that is a reflection of the cleaning crew. The over all condition of the house showed the owners good taste.
Wonderful mattress and sheets in the Master and big fluffy towels!

Awesome Vacation!

Absolutely loved our stay at this lovely lake home. The views are spectacular, we had a hard time leaving. My father is a fisherman and caught fish everyday that we were there giving us a huge fish fry on our last night. The house had everything we needed and plenty of room. We were a small group but it can easily accommodate big families. Also, my mom has arthritis and the house is all on one level (unless you decide to do laundry in the basement) so it was perfect for her! When we come back to Wisconsin, this is where we will want to stay!
