A brand new custom kitchen with granite countertops is at the heart of the open floor plan that perfectly integrates old and new: from the farmhouse porch in front to the original hand hewn beams and restored fireplace in the living room to the brand new deck in rear with private - and picturesque - views of the pond, horse pastures and sunsets over Mt. Mansfield – the highest peak in Vermont.
The house features six bedrooms and three bathrooms - including a private two bedroom suite that is perfect for families with small children who need extra space. The bedrooms are all bright, sunny and loaded with charm, from original wide plank floors and antique farmhouse doors to tastefully decorated furnishings. Every room affords breathtaking open views of the beautiful surrounding meadows, pasture lands and mountainscapes.

In summer, this property is an ideal location for a family vacation or retreat, small wedding, or as a central location to launch daily outdoor activities such as road or mountain biking excursions (house is located on main cycling route), hiking, kayaking, fishing or sightseeing.
In winter this is ideal ski vacation home, as you are just 15 minutes from Stowe Mountain Resort. Or for those who like to snow machine, the house is just half a mile from the VAST trail system.
We stayed at the house from 1/5/2012-1/10/12. The pictures on this website simply do not do the property justice. This farmhouse has been updated with all the modern amenities one could want, but in such a way as to preserve the history and charm of the house. The house was clean and comfortable.
We had 13 adults and 3 kids at the house three of the nights during our stay and because of the layout of the house, no one felt cramped or crowded. The owner's sister and her husband were lovely, they treated us to locally made bread and were available if we needed anything. This property also allows pets, which was wonderful for us as we have a 15 month old chocolate lab. This was as much a vacation for him as it was for us. Otis loved the horse in back and the room to run and play. We would recommend this property to family and friends!
