|Minimum Stay||5 nights|
This is a beautiful, light-filled, quiet, and tastefully furnished 1 bedroom 1 bathroom apartment that sleeps up to four comfortably, and that makes the perfect place from which to explore the whole of Paris for a short or extended stay.
On the 6th and final floor (with elevator) of a 1904 building, the apartment was extensively renovated in 2008, and again start 2014. Situated in the 14th District of Paris, you are really in authentic Paris, while still being a very short metro, bus or velib' ride from all of Paris' main attractions: the Eiffel Tower, the Latin quarter, Ile de la Cite, le Louvre, etc.
The apartment has a fully equipped kitchen for any cooking you may wish to do, with a full set of plates, glasses, silverware, cooking equipment, Nespresso machine, toaster, juice maker, oven, dishwasher. The bedroom is large with a double bed, desk and a second flat-screen TV. The bathroom contains a shower, a separate bath, and a towel heater. The lounge has a 42” television with cable (that includes English and other language channels), a small hifi, and a convertible couch. There is a small laundry that has a washing machine, clothes dryer rack, iron and ironing board, and all the towels, kitchen dishcloths, sheets and pillow cases you may need. The apartment has wi-fi.
The 14th District, which includes Montparnasse, has its own lot of attractions, but is also a very pleasant and green suburb. with many hidden treasures, that tourists rarely see or visit. The apartment is situated on the same block as a Monoprix (large grocery store), and there are numerous restaurants and places to go out just a short walk away.
In short: you will love this place!
Hi there! I am a French-Australian currently living in DC for work. I have two wonderful daughters Alice and Sophie (Alice at the Eiffel Tower in my profile picture!).
Justine purchased this apartment in 2000
My husband and I lived in this place for 10 years (and undertook extensive renovations in 2008 and again start 2014). We really love this place, as it is in a fantastic (and off the tourist-beaten track) suburb, and is on the last floor, flooded with light and sun. It is also really quiet - in summer, we sleep with our bedroom window open! We have kept it as we come back regularly to Paris either for travel or for visiting my husband's family (that lives a 10 minutes walk from this apartment).
It is a sunny, beautiful and pleasant apartment to live in - really in authentic Paris, with hardly a tourist in sight! It is on the last floor (with a lift) so has a lot of light, and a typically parisian view of the rooftops. This suburb is quite prized by Parisians as it is very well connected to everywhere you need to be, while still having a lot of parks, gardens, houses, restaurants and bars. You will really enjoy staying here!
