Lovely Getaway!!!

We spent four nights at the Dew Drop Inn and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The rental was clean, comfortable and cute. The pictures provided on HomeAway were accurate and the rental truly was one block from the beach. We spent time on the beach every day we were there and really appreciated all the beach equipment available at the beach house - plenty of towels, boogie boards, beach chairs, umbrella, cooler, etc. We didn't use the kitchen much, but it was well stocked for cooking if we had chosen to use it. Joy was very helpful professional, and concerned for our comfort upon our arrival.
Ventura is relaxing and beautiful, particularly for those of us coming from the desert. The city doesn't seem to be fast-paced, and the people are friendly. It was exactly what we were looking for on vacation this year. Two recommendations for food - there is a donut shop next to Starbucks in the shopping center a few blocks away. The donuts are absolutely to die for! We also ate at Eric Ericsson's on the Pier. The food was excellent, and they made sure to seat us next to the windows so we could see the ocean. There is also a cute shop in historic downtown called Sea Things with everything ocean related. We hope to return next year and would definitely rent the Dew Drop Inn again.
