"The Moxie" Oceanfront Luxury Cottage truly has it all. No roughing it here. The cottage is right against the water's edge sitting up on a solid rock foundation. Free wifi, washer/dryer inside cottage, 2 cable tvs w/DVD players, kitchenette, grill and picnic table outside along with everything you need to steam "lobstahs". Clubhouse right up the road with indoor heated pool and hot tub. Walk to downtown Wiscasset Village to shop, eat & shop. Very close to Boothbay Harbor and all things Midcoast Maine including Rockland, Rockport & Camden! Popham Beach and Reed State Park roughly 25 minutes away,,, both gorgeous beaches.

"The Moxie" is a gorgeous oceanfront cottage inside and out, beautiful surroundings, walk to town and very central to everything in Midcoast Maine. Only 1 hour to the Portland Jetport!

What makes this cottage unique

New construction in Maine has to be 70 feet in from the ocean. These new cottages were grandfathered since previous structures were there at the turn of the century. Waking up to a water's edge view on top of rock ledge is really an amazing experience for our guests. This oceanfront cottage we call "The Moxie" is really idealic for someone who truly wants to enjoy the best of Maine near everything and in super comfortable and upscale surroundings.

"The Moxie - what a fantastic location and peaceful vacation!"
My husband and sister and I just got home from a 3-night stay at Midcoast Rentals' "The Moxie" which was the cutest little water-front cabin in the Sheepscot Harbour Village Resort in Edgecomb, Maine at Davis Island.

Gibby and his wife have put together one of the cutest, cleanest, most welcoming rentals we have run across. The location could not have been better. There is a restaurant you can walk to right in the resort and you are just across a bridge from Wiscasset village and a quick 15-minute drive to Boothbay Harbor and less than 30 minutes from a wonderful beach at Pemaquid.

We had a truly wonderful time and I can't recommend this great little place enough. I'll put some pictures up on their facebook page when I get a chance.

Wonderful Cottage

The Moxie is a beautiful little cottage, very comfortable, and in a great location. Very clean, quiet, and cozy with great sunsets over the water. Loved sitting on the front porch with a cup of coffee and watching the lobster boats.

A much needed getaway from life for a day

I couldn't say nicer things about my stay at the Moxie. The place was immaculately clean, the decor was very well done, the view was nice, the sheets were comfortable, and the area was peaceful. I needed to escape life for a day and this was the perfect escape for me. I sat on the rocks and read my book in peace and quiet, there was no one around and there was a nice breeze coming of the water. This was exactly what I wanted. They thought of everything. Water in the fridge, coffee in the cupboard, and other items available if you happened to forget something. I can't sleep without a fan running and panicked when I arrived as I had forgotten mine at home. Looked in the closet and low and behold a fan. I had everything I needed. Thank you for the stay. I would highly recommend this retreat to anyone.

Just returned from 3 nights at The Moxie in Edgecomb/Wiscassett Maine - FANTASTIC in every way!

The Moxie is every bit as cute and homey as the pictures show. It was impeccably clean and just a warm and friendly place to stay in an absolutely perfect location. Just 15 minutes to Boothbay area and under 1/2 hour to a really cool little beach at Pemaquid which we recommend as well. There's a decent restaurant in the Sheepscot Resort where The Moxie is located so you can walk to eats if you don't want to drive...you can even walk across the bridge into Wiscassett and shop and eat there.

I can't say enough...this place was GREAT. Clean and high quality everything. Has easy-to-use Wifi and multiple TVs if you need them. I give this a hearty double-thumbs-up!
