Gorgeous and Peaceful Hacienda

Three friends and I traveled to Antigua for Semana Santa and stayed at this lovely home for ten days. It was magical! Once you arrive and enter, welcomed by Aida and Miguel Angel, you are taken back to a time of luxurious colonial homes. We had seen the photos on VRBO and the hacienda's website but it is even better in person! Each bedroom is individually decorated and has an updated bathroom. A couple of them even have a fireplace. The bedrooms all open onto the outdoor hallway with enclosed gardens right out the doors. It has a lovely kitchen with everything you need to cook your own meals when going out to one of the fabulous restaurants in Antigua isn't on the agenda. We had several meals here and enjoyed them in the two dining rooms and outside, poolside, and on a rooftop patio. The pool is large and private since everything is enclosed behind the walls of the colonial style hacienda. As four women, we felt very safe the whole time here. Aida, the housekeeper was very helpful, kind, and kept the hacienda beautifully clean. She is a dear! And, Miguel Angel, the guardian always made us feel safe. He also is the gardener and the grounds are gorgeous! The location of the hacienda is close to the parque central and within walking distance of everything in the center of Antigua. We enjoyed our stay here so much and would love to return someday!
