This beautiful home sits on 10 acres on the Saco river in Maine. Built in 2001, this home features beautiful woodwork and hardwood floors. Just installed- an outdoor hot tub outside on the deck with a roof. The family room boasts a cathedral ceiling and dramatic floor to ceiling windows. A woodstove and ceiling fan completes this room. The kitchen has tile floors, granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances and a separate dining area with slider out to one of the large decks. The master bedroom suite is on the first floor with a full bath. Two more bedrooms are on the second floor with another full bath. There is also a washer and dryer in the house. We have just added wireless internet service and a telephone.
The river is approximately 400 feet from the house. The property is very wooded and there is 650 feet of river frontage on the property. The Saco River is extremely clean for swimming and has a sandy bottom. It is a wooded river bank setting.

Susan and Craig's place in Maine is a fantastic winter getaway. We had a smallish gathering of friends up for a weekend. The snow was great, the hot tub a blessing, and the fireplace a gift.
We romped around in the snow and then warmed up by the fire, with dips in the hot tub in the middle of a snowstorm for added fun.
The house was plenty warm, and kitchen was stocked with everything one needs to cook. Craig and Susan were both extremely responsive to all questions leading up to the house and during, including extending the hours of the stay on Sunday to help manage a snowstorm so we could travel safely.
All in all, a lovely experience!
Had a really nice time at this cute house in the woods... we brought rafts and a cooler down to the river and spent the day tied up to some logs just floating on the water. This place is very secluded and great for getting away from it all. Though there was little to no cell phone service, the wireless internet at the house was great and we were able to stay in touch with the outside world.
We had a marvelous family vacationweek there!
The house is clean, nice and well-equiped. The area surrounding the house is quiet and far from (about) everything! (except by the end of the day, near the river, there is a campground on the other side of the river that might be a bit noisy, sometimes). But everything was perfect!
We had a problem with the hottub, but the owners were pretty quick to answer, and I finally managed to fix everything thanks to an awesome hardware store team, in Bridgton, so we could enjoy it for the whole week.
If you plan on buying stuff at grocery, better get to Bridgton (Hannaford) than the Thriftway in Fryeburg, which is insanely expensive and pretty small....
Close from North Conway, 50 min. from the ocean, 45 min from Mt Washington, this house is just perfect, in the middle of everything!!!
We're coming back next year!
My husband and I came here for our mini-moon and what a treat it was! This home is obviously well loved! It was clean, well furnished and also well stocked. We have done vacation rentals where you need to bring everything (and I mean everything!) with you. This place's kitchen had everything you would want to cook with. There was also a full linen closet, washer/dryer and TVs,etc. The hot tub was a wonderful bonus. The home was private and set off the road. The best part for us was that this is a pet friendly rental, our dogs loved the property! The only downfalls I will point out (and this is in no way a reflection of the owner/property, just warning future renters.) The mosquitoes are fierce! I thought the statement that the mosquito is Maine's state bird was just a joke... it's not! Come prepared and bring bug spray and citronella candles if you want to enjoy the hot tub. The river has a pretty steep bank and a strong current, I am a wimp and wouldn't go in, and was worried my older dog wouldn't be able to swim with the current. My younger dog had a blast. There is a beautiful, sandy bottom placed to swim (and pet friendly in the evening!) 10 mins up the road. For those who bring their gaming systems on vacation with them we could not get the HDMI input port on the TV to work. Having said that please don't let any of this deter you from enjoying this beautiful home! Our overall experience was wonderful and we plan on returning in the future!
This beautiful place has it all ! Great views out of the windows , cozy comfortable beds, the property & the silence that comes with it ,is an unbeatable stress reliever as soon as you step out of your car. If you need more relaxing than that , the hot tub is there to melt away any care in the world. The home was very clean. The water pressure in the shower was perfect ( I personally hate the " one drip" per minute shower heads , especially after playing outside in New England's cold weather). While we were there the snow falling was a great added touch. However, I can't wait to go back in the warmer months to see & explore the river. Thank you so much for sharing your home. This place made our getaway unforgettable.
My Family and I were her just last week. Beautiful spot. Quiet and restful. Loved the Hot Tub. The house is clean and beautiful. Not far from anything you want to do. First time tubing love the Saco River.
