Located 68km from the capital João Pessoa and Recife 100Km. The county has potential for tourism, by its nature and beautiful landscapes. Beach calm sea is ideal for swimming, with bars and seaside fishing boats can hold free diving at 2 Km from the beach, just hire a boatman to take. The name comes from the term indigenous "Petim-Ibu ', meaning' Eye Water Smoke '. This city, which once housed the local Indians, is still quite young, was emancipated in 1961.
