My name is Steve Milo and I stay in Vacation Rental Homes when I travel both domestically and abroad. I own several vacation rental homes and listen carefully to our guests and their feedback and then opened my company Vacation Rental Pros in 2006! Our greatest compliment is when our guests refer our web site to their friends and relatives. AND, now Vacation Rental Pros is managing over 825 properties in Ft Myers Beach, Orlando, St Augustine Beach, Daytona Beach, Palm Coast and Ponte Vedra Beach. Our guests and their great 'word of mouth' have helped us expand to over 825+ vacation rentals. We booked over 15,000 rentals and received over 5,000 guest reviews in 2014.
Overall the facility was found as advertised. Some initial issues with entrance to the property instructions and location of towels and washcloths. The individuals answering the telephones tried to be helpful but usually had to contact other staff personnel to obtain answers, for example towels and washcloths weren't easily located. When I placed a call to inquire about the lack of these items it would have been nice if the individuals contacted could have said were the items were stored. HVAC maintenance crew showed up unannounced. I had an issue concerning the keys/lock code. Even though the individual I spoke with said Vacation Rental Pros had the ability to change the lock code he flatly stated he would not change the code for me during my visit. Suggestion...If you have the ability to change the lock codes why not let your/renters decide their own code once the final payment is received this way your maintenance personnel has time to reset the code before the renter arrives. I'm sure VRPs handles many properties but one plan does not fit all. No issues with the property or the functionality of items therein contained.
An excellent location right on the beach, and very nice open living area opening onto the large deck. It was handy having the upstairs and downstairs kitchen and laundry. The location was quite convenient to shopping and restaurants in Flagler Beach, and if you don't mind walking two miles down the road (sidewalk all the way) you can have a nice breakfast and coffee at Java Joint. The beach isn't as wide and the sand is a bit coarser than you might find elsewhere, but still very nice.
I will admit the view was breathtaking! Being able to sit on the deck and soak up the sunshine and salty air was magical! When my family and I stayed there, the downstairs "pastel" bedroom was very dark and dreary and the bed had been peed on from a previous renter and they wouldn't do anything until Monday! Once they did come and steam clean it was better than it was, but we still had to use two sheets. Their housekeeper is awful. The house was too big for one housekeeper, we didn't get in at the allotted time we were supposed too and the loft beds looked like the sheets hadn't been changed in awhile (stains on the sheets). There was some water damage to the ceiling, and it sounded like there was something living in it. I actually saw a mouse/rat run under the couch upstairs and there was a small roach problem.
Overall, the house was in a beautiful location and my family had a great time. I'm excited to come back to the Flagler area! I was happy that the rental was pet friendly and very happy with the private beach!
Also, the spiral staircase is very narrow, I'm only in my twenties and had some issues with getting down, so definitely be careful with young ones, or those who have trouble walking!
we had a great stay and the house was wonderful we had a few minor issues that were taken care of by the management promptly. The cleaning staff did a great job, the only thing I noticed was that the grounds around the house were not picked up maybe they should inspect the outside perimeter before they rent it out again. But the place is a great place and I would definitely recommend it. We had the beach all to ourselves and it was wonderful!!!
Beautiful huge beach home, great location if your looking for something more laid back. It's more of a private area with a great beach. The house was cleaned very well, my only complaints are on a few maintenance issues. One of the main entryways had a screen door with a huge cut in the screen. The breeze from the ocean was amazing but all the bugs were getting in. The place had a grill, but was so rusty it couldn't be used. There were also a lot of ants in the basement. There were ant traps but they weren't quite cutting it. Besides these few things the house was great! Lots of extra bedding and towels. Plus, a fully functional kitchen. Great open spaces to hang out with large groups of people. And an amazing location right down the road from Flagler beach.
