This historic cabin was originally built as a fishing retreat decades ago, and has morphed a number of times since then. In the 70’s it was Little Rainbow, the workshop of our local silversmith. After that, it became a private residence, and later, a trendy coffee house, named The Cabin. The Cabin later became The Buckaroo, also a coffee house / burger joint. The ‘Buckaroo” iron horse and cowboy still rest on the front porch.
The rustic old building has now been renovated and is again a Sequoia river retreat. The old charm remains, but indoors, you will enjoy the bright, comfortable interior and the spectacular view through the French doors. The Main Fork of the Kaweah River runs just beyond the back deck, and is strong and beautiful any season of the year.

Our family fled the big city more than 30 years ago and have been residents of this special Three Rivers ever since. During this time, we owned and operated a successful restaurant, and recently, a small winery and vineyard. We are now innkeepers with our own Sequoia River Dance Bed and Breakfast.
Big family? Lots of friends? We also have a beautiful five bedroom, four bathroom riverfront home, just 15 minutes from Sequoia. Ask me about that!
The south gate to Sequoia National Park is a few minutes away. Here you will find the Giant Forest, with the biggest trees on earth, world class hiking, fishing, caving, river rafting, cross country skiing, and star gazing. Kings Canyon National Park is adjacent to Sequoia and has the deepest canyon in our country. Cedar Grove is spectacular--will remind you of Yosemite, without the crowds.
